I love the food and beverage diversity Singapore has to offer, but nothing could prepare me for the dishes I discovered on my Singapore Chinatown tour. Heavenly bowls of noodles, the lightest curry puff pastry ever and... wait... TRUFFLES?! Yep, I saw it all; I ate it all. And of course, we drank it all too. Singapore’s cocktail scene really comes to life in Chinatown. Come join me on my Chinatown food tour as I head to hawker centres, cute shophouses and cool neighbourhoods to taste my way round this epicentre of Singapore's food scene.
For the first time, The World’s 50 Best Bars, sponsored by Perrier will be held in Singapore this October, its first time outside of Europe.

🇨🇦 Nice to revisit some of the tastes of Singapore; I ate SO well when I lived there. Still miss the food, thirty-five years later. I learned to eat durian (unlike many of European descent), even though I never learned to love it, haha. If you want to start a conversation with a Singaporean, just ask where is the best place to get duck rice, or hokkien mee, chili crab, or roti jala (insert favourite food here). Thanks for the memories. ❤️

What a tour! I'm sooo jealous. Everything looked so delicious. The yam basket looked like taro puffs, which are my fave dim sum. I agree that the claypot would enhance the sweetness of the crab. As for the Kdogs, I'd be tempted by the creamy egg dog, but I'd HAVE to go w the kimchi dog. Cause kimchi on ANYTHING improves it 1000%. Sorry sauerkraut. But the winning dish of the night has to be the chicken skin- w squid paste-- GENIUS! ABSOLUTE GENIUS!

If you're not rushing for time, I'd like to suggest that you order the food items one by one as all these dishes taste much more delicious when they're served hot. I don't know about others, but for me, when I see a table full of food, I'll become full (not literally) and lose appetite. That's why I like attending Chinese dinner (in Singapore) because the dishes are served one at a time.

Hmm, I'm troubled. There is obviously enough food for 20 people laid out before you on the table and, since you are not larger than the average HDB flat, you don't shove the whole of the cornucopia down your gob. Now I'm sure you have a crew with you to help you out, but where does all the food go? Mukbang with an ASMR has its joys. But gluttony, or alternatively simple waste of food is a sin after all.

Always loved your content, I would take out that part about "Israeli" food. Israel is a colonizing state that took over Palestine less than 80 years ago, hence it does not have its own food. Falafel is actually Egyptian it's not even Palestinian, but the rest of what is claimed to be from the colonizing state is Palestinian food. This is not to say that there is no Jewish cuisine, it is authentic to Jews from all around the globe, but not to the colonizing state. When you include snippets like this in your video you participate in the colonization and theft of land, history and culture, as the world now more than even knows the truth about Israel because of the media, not because they just started (they have been committing massacres and genocide since the beginning 70+ years), it not like you as a food content creator who respects food and culture and authenticity to stand with the side that has been committing genocide and as part of this genocide is the attempt to claim Palestinian food as theirs.
