It's time to do THE BIG CHOP! Can't believe the time has arrived and that I've been transitioning to natural hair for 18 months. I've not seen my natural hair since I was about 9 years old and don't remember much about it, so it's going to be a drastic change going from having long relaxed hair to short natural hair. I'm feeling very nervous, anxious & excited all at the same time. But I'm ready!

I commend your bravery. I'm 20 momths post and made up iny mind to do my big chop today. I cut ONE piece and stopped. lol. I'm excited to be 100% natural but seeing that 3-4 inches come off freaked me out. Maybe I'll do it someday soon. Bravo to you!!

As for my skin care routine, nothing major has changed since the last one I did. I think the only product I've stopped using is the 'Simples Cleansing Lotion'. It would've been my 24 months post relaxer in May but my hair grew like wildfire. I only had a few straggly pieces in the front of my hair, and one day as I was styling it, I just cut it off. i love this video. you just earned a new subscriber. I'm going natural but i don't want to do the big chop. i cut my hair once that wasn't a great idea & if i let my mom cut then she'll just shave it bald or make it uneven & hairstylists are way to scissor happy
