Brittany, for a long time I struggled with negative feelings of being a girl (that stemmed I think from things that have happened to me) so much so that I would cry to my mom saying I hated having to be a girl. I feel like your channel has healed my inner feminine side where when I hear about you talking about being a woman it moves me to tears and makes me wake up every morning being happy to be who I am. When I’m at school and all the girls are doing their makeup and doing funny TikTok dances or just being girls I look around and realize that on some level we are all in this together. I just feel like being a girl/woman is the most beautiful thing. We are really alone in this world we’re nothing is still fair or equal to us but still we are so strong. I know this all sounds cringey but I want to thank you for making me the girl I am today and making me wake up every morning and feel like yes I am a girl and am so proud of that. ❤ thank you.

Thanks a lot, Brittany, for recommending "Cake Sort." It started off as a fun distraction, but now I’m in deep. I have a crippling addiction, and my life is in absolute shambles. My plants are dead, my dog is giving me judgmental looks and has learned to feed himself, and I’m pretty sure my couch has permanently molded to my body. My screen time is 99% Cake Sort, 1% crying. I can’t do anything but sort digital cakes. My friends are worried, my family is planning an intervention, and I’ve forgotten what the sun looks like. SOS

I was assuming it was that she was trying to encompass the whole playlist (I don’t know what it all contained) but I feel you. 😅 I’m assuming that song made her think of Bossa Nova but she couldn’t reconcile it with the other songs she was thinking of. That’s my guess anyways. As an aside, my Irish-now-Canadian wife uses bossa nova as her go-to de-stresser. It’s one of the few things she can listen to that actually relaxes her if she’s stressed rather than adding more chaos. So - it’s appreciated here. ✨

Zo Bisou Bisou is like a blend between Bossa Nova and a french music genre that was very popular in the 60's called Yé-Yé... Yé-Yé deriving from British pop numbers like early Beatles/early Rolling Stones. Some examples of Yé-yé are Bridgitte Bardot (we don't like her though, she's racist asf), Francoise Hardy and early Rocío Durcal.
