My Boat Sunk 30km out to sea

Feel for ya lads i know its more then a boat but as long as you have life the passion and drive to get back out there will see you out doing what you love again sooner then it probably feels right now. For a young bloke you handled that with expert seamanship well skippered captain fish on lads

Great video, you obviously handled the situation like a pro. Lots of lessons to be learnt here for those of us that haven't been in this situation. Be prepared and make sure you have the ability amd safety equipment to handle any situation you might find yourself in. You will most likely only get one chance to do it right. And I'm sure you will make sure your next boat is insured before you even pick it up. My insurance is less than $50 a month and will easily cover the replacement costs if something was to go wrong.

Why did you do that? LOL. I always wondered why they don't make a large orange kite you can launch from a tube (Air launch?) that will catch the wind and fly in such a case like this? It's usually always a bit windy on the water except for those dead sea days, but at least it would give you a chance.

Before you go out again learn some of the methods you could have used to dewater your vessel

I did. drive fast so water drains out back, bail water and bludge pump, nothing worked.

@@waterfusion5509 Use the cooling water intake hose of your engine if it is an inboard also it sounds like you had your stern to the waves which would happen after you lost power. Did you check to see if debris was clogging you bilge pump, it's common. Are you saying water came over your stern while you were under power into the waves, that's unusual. Nevertheless sorry you lost your boat and glad you survived I spent 15 years in the Coast Guard Aux and was amazed at some of the mishaps we came across.

@@josephfhubel938 was an outboard, there was a plastic bag on the bildge pump I believe as the water flow was bad but we didn’t have time to get it off all happened too quick. The water came over the stern whilst I was drifting and fishing. Thanks mate.
