Hi legend, yes the air box should be as you described and without the cold air induction over the shroud. The spare will be a hsv 16 x7 42p in yellow with the rectangular sticker (round stickers are vr vs) that 15 inch spare won’t fit over the front calipers. Bonnet badge is wrong as you suspected,it is the same as the wheel center cap. Guard badges are correct. Also check the garnish for small cracks as normally if the tail lights are cracked then the garnish will be too. Cluster slides are normally snapped off too (same as vq statesmen, Vp Calais) if you are looking for some. Don’t lose those factory rims either as they are now made of unattanium :). Unique to Vp hsv. My estimate is $32.700 Awesome work on the channel mate.

The rear spoiler on this isn't the same as mine - my spoiler doesn't have the "droopy" ends over the quarter panels and the brake light is on the parcel shelf. Reckon the Ks are genuine? I’ve never seen the foam breakdown like that on such low K car
@tmmtmm3 жыл бұрын
Probably stored in an uninsulated shed. Heat cycling does a number on foam. Also depends on how the previous owners treated it. 80k of bolster bashing (people who crush the bolster getting in and out) will do more harm than 300k of careful ownership.
@MindieJ3 жыл бұрын
all depends on how you treat the car, ive seen cars with 50,000kms with screwed seat foam
@cal-king3 жыл бұрын
Yeah depends on how fat the previous owners were too. I bought a vz maloo with 60k and they have serious heavy duty foam on the bolsters and it was rekt down to the bracket. Its like the guy used to spend the whole duration of the ownership stamping on it with his feet or something

@MrWasher743 жыл бұрын
@@MindieJ I’d have to agree, the fog lights don’t look right. The lenses look too clear, factory ones have lines in the lens like the headlights. They haven’t been available new for years and when I got my pair they were $1000 second hand. They were only fitted to the senators and the VQ carprice.

You were incorrect about the spare wheel. It was a stocky yellow, but not the same as the wheels it has. It was a 16 x8 SV 5000 wheel painted yellow
@MindieJ3 жыл бұрын
According to HSV you’re incorrect, spare wheel in the car is correct
@tonymontana8973 жыл бұрын
@@MindieJ I doubt it. I remember these cars when they came out and all the one's my mates had all a painted yellow wheel same as those on the SV 5000. Perhaps there was a handful with the steely but I can put money ALL the ones I came across had the painted alloy. I found it strange at first but it was what it was.
