Yes agree with 3 & 5 defo cheap switches on the rear interior lights and the lack of the Seat Belt return mechanism we’ve had our Qashqai 4 years and I’ve always blamed the wife for it😂😂😂 Not had any issues with squeaky trim or the wheel coatings problem. We actually have a Spare Wheel 😳😳 Great Videos - keep up the good work

Definitely agree on the lack of spare wheel, wheel brace and jack. It's a trend in modern cars I'm definitely not fond of. I was smiling when you talked about the creaky door cards, yes, I did notice that. I think a solution may be to remove them and spray the back with silicon spray. I'm not sure how long it would last but worth a try. As for the wheels, please don't powder coat them. Powder coating is the work of the devil and you'll be back to square one in no time. A better solution would be to have them resurfaced by a company that does diamond cutting and have them sprayed properly with good quality clear coat.

I Have same issues with seat belts, and did have rear interior light issue, I soldered a link wire between terminals, the lights operate fine when any door opens. Nissan sell lamps as a service part so must fail often. Lots of cars do not have a spare nowadays. Never had a creak, Even though I kerbed N/S/F the lacquer has remained good condition, Had car for six years. The one fault I had, bizarrely at MOT last time, when I collected car parking sensors stopped working - it was rear sounder £23 from Nissan, located in n/s/r upper quarter panel. Good Video, my main gripe is that in heavy rain, or after washing car the front parking sensor "sees" something, due to water ingress. Oh and the cost of a replacement headlamp (Bi-LED) stupendously expensive.

Totally agree about the wheels. The wost feature: A fucking beep to tell you that you've just opened the door. I know I've just opened the door. I opened it. No way to cancel the beep except to open another door and then close it.

Dan I see you have a sunroof with your door lights on either side of the car, I do not have a sunroof and the rear interior light is in the middle of the car, I changed the bulbs to led’s which brighten the car nicely.

My 15 Tekna has the same wheels, but before I bought it last year the dealership had the wheels renovated in all black. Looks great and stops any salt corrosion of the aluminium, any small chips are easy to touch up and don’t notice at all. My main grip is the 360 camera it goes off to quick when trying to park or doesn’t come on so I have to push the camera button. Just the other day my heater fan slowed right down today it was OK, but it in for service/mot next week so maybe they might sort it out. I’ve fitted a space saver, it not to bad and I reckon if I deflate it a bit the sub floor over it will go flat , I still have the compressor to inflate it when needed.will try this after the mot 😉. Love your videos.

Thanks John I'd like to get my wheels resprayed in black (and repaired!) As for the 360 camera, try adjusting your sensor sensitivity in the settings, you can adjust them to make them activate further away, which could help.

I have a 16 one it has my heart broke with lights coming on dash for electric handbrake as for boot light I upgraded to a 7 inch led strip light it's perfect

Hi Dan, I have a J11 2020. Lots of good things but 2 annoying things, the Bonnet Strut not a good solution and the Bonnet opening catch very difficult do operate.

You can get bonnet struts that hold it open from Amazon and wish. I think it requires some drilling though if you're ok with that!

no mute button on the steering.... when in reverse the music keeps playing... when I stop the car for parking "start-stop" stops the engine and I put the gear into p mode it starts again...

The Qashai doesn’t have a “boot” it is an suv the o delete light doesn’t serve, I put 2 amber led interior lights on the. Tailgate , remember not to put them in the middle above the middle divider but below and take the supply from the obsolete designed “boot”light, regards brianthelian

Dan, do you ever get a rattle in the panoramic roof? I have it when idle, or in first or reverse, and sometimes over humps and bumps. It's really annoying, looking for a fix if there's one available.

I don't get a rattle from there. Have you checked the long rubber lining strip around the inside of it? Have you worked out exactly where the rattle is from? (Front, back etc)

Im pretty happy with my 2019 N-Connecta, I have only one thing that annioys me. I enjoy listening to music on a usb stick with mp3 files. Unfortunately the standard player cant play numbers in a random order, but insists on playing files in the same order, even if "shuffle" is enabled. Making many short trips it feels like having a 12 track cd playing, instead of the available 500+ tracks available on the usb stick. I have kind of solved it playing music from my phone instead, but I think the player should be able to shuffle ramdomly. Does anyone know if there are there alternative mp3 players available or other ideas, I would really appreciate to hear from you.

Has anyone else experienced the steering wheel being quite tough and almost clunky? My dab radio also never gets signal where as my old Skoda Fabian had dab pretty much anywhere you went

Have you checked if you're in sport mode? Steering is heavier in that setting. Check if your car needs the free update by calling Nissan UK

@@TheQashqaiGuy yeah it’s not in sport mode :( it doesn’t spin round smoothly almost like the lubricant for it or something is clogged. I rang them about the radio, they’re asking my local dealer about it but have to wait for an email back unfortunately

No worries, it's pretty easy to check the level. Look for a reservoir under the bonnet with a steering wheel on it. It should have a max and min level on the side.
