The emergency brake system: I own a model 2014 J11 Qashqai Tekna and I've had the first level go off on me a few times... like 6 or 7. The second level, twice. ... and the third level, the actual emergency braking once... and it actually saved me from a crash... and I was really, really astounded that it could do what it actually did. It was in a crossing where I had a green light and a car ran through "his" red light. It wasn't high speed (of course)... otherwise the system hadn't had time to react. But it _did_ stop my Qashqai just in time to avoid collision. What amazes me is that the car was coming from the right and the system still reacted to it in time. WOW !!!

My Tekna Xtronic I like the Cruise - adaptive. and the moving object detection. Mine does have lumbar both front seats. The Auto lights with auto main beam are brilliant, especially at night in countryside (where I live) main beam keeps Deers away, and my light illuminate 600 yards ahead. the auto brake feature apparently is the single biggest fail - but I always brake for myself - just was warned by other QQ owners of issue. Mine has two stage self park - never used. (had on my VW's for about eights years before QQ, again never used. The single best feature of Qashqai IMHO, the Price, Tekna Xtronic 1.6diesel was £29,465 new with every extra heated front screen 360 camera setc. My last Tiguan 2.0 SEL 2016 Was £38995, only had rear camera, no heated front screen and did 45mpg. QQ does 63mpg.

My favourite has to be the keyless entry and ignition. Never having to search your pockets again.

Hi Dan, talking about those courtesy lights again in the sun visors, as I'm useless with recognising them on e-bay, would these work? T10 Led 501 Side Light White Bulbs Car Error Free Canbus Xenon W5w Sidelight 10x. I was going to put the link in here, but it would have taken up half the page. The 360 camera, so far is my favourite. This is a saver of many potential repairs, and is rightly so top of your list. The anti-curbing cam particularly.

I saw a video of someone testing the emergency breaking and they used card board box’s to drive at and it worked really well. Surprisingly well!! Maybe you could try it for us ? 😜 I think I agree with your top 5 there. Nice one.

Hey guys I'm just wondering what roof cross bars you have? I've noticed on mine that the roor rails them selfs are very low to the car compared to older and newer models that are currently alot higher. I'm struggling to find a set. The universal ones do fit but I have a gap from the top of the rail to the bottom of the cross bar clamp.

So there's a gap between your roofline and the rail? If so the ones I have are made by exodus and available at Halfords.

Yes mate from roof to bottom rail it's about 1 inch on other models the gap is about 2 inches allowing the clamp to fit around it where as my rail gap is 1inch the clap has a gap of 1 inch from top rail to the clamp its strange but thank you I'll look them up

Are you sure the brake assist use the camera? I ask because i have a Pulsar which is very similar but in hatchback style and i have brake assist but because i only have the Acenta version i don't have any cameras in the car except from the rear camera. It uses a sensor in the front.

​@@TheQashqaiGuy There is nothing. It's hangigng freely without wires or a plastic box or anything. Mine also doesn't have rain sensor which i think they always will have when they have a camera there because they already have wiring going to that place.

Just got a j11 can’t get the park assist to work keeps cancelling for some reason Also anyone else had issues with the rear window switches both don’t work but working fine from drivers switch it’s a 2017

Does it cancel straight away? Take it you're not touching the steering wheel? Check sensors as it relies on them
