Do you get your driftwood from the seaside or river? If by the sea does the salt affect the plants in anyway?

Driftwood is mainly from the seaside because it is material or items that have been drifting at sea and have also been cured by the salt water.

But come to think of it, I have some succulents on a piece of driftwood and they're fine, so yea, going to try an orchid! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
