Thank you so much for this video Really helpful Patricia please how do you keep track of the actuals for example clothing if you spend 5 pounds here, 2 pounds there etc, how do you keep track do you write them down somewhere when you spend your money or you have to sit down every month and go through your bank statements What if you paid out in cash Is there an easier way to do this thank you
@Mariamsadventure Жыл бұрын
@@anjie2561 request for receipts for all your expenditures, especially those you pay cash with. For your credit score though, it’s better you use less cash withdrawals and have more leftovers. If you use Barclays Bank, they put these types of spending into different categories on the app and it really helps to show you where you spend the most. It can be a big shocker though…

This just shows how much people on much lower wages will struggle. With a high salary like this having not much left over, it really does show how much things have gone up. Not a dig at Patricia, just an observation of how ridiculous prices are getting.

There are low income budgeters on KZbin & have saved thousands & they have kids. They budget like she does. The whole point is save for those expenses. Things are going to go up, then adjust your budget. It's simple.
@raychul33 Жыл бұрын
@@msdiva29 easier said than done though, some people literally have nothing left after paying bills hense why so many people are relying on food banks etc. In fact some people can’t even pay all of their bills let alone save anything. This is the point I’m making
@msdiva29 Жыл бұрын
@@raychul33 It is easy, add extra income but most people are more complacent not helping themselves. There is always solutions & no excuses.
@Anna-2 Жыл бұрын
@@msdiva29 What if someone is already working as much as they can and still not making enough? It happens so much. But lots of people like to say "just work harder". The world doesn't work like that really. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the education or training needed for so many higher paying jobs.

Its all depends on your expenses. If you have a cheaper house, cheaper car and don’t take taxis’s.

Thanks Patricia, so much value in this video! ☺️ But £60,000 after tax is only £3,654? I’m confused! Could someone explain please xx
@Marciiya1000 Жыл бұрын
As Patricia is self-employed, she takes some of her 'salary' as dividends to make up the £60k (possibly all of her income after the tax free allowance) which incurs a lower rate of tax overall than a purely a PAYE employee would pay on their £60,000 salary after tax, hence Patricia's higher income. She briefly mentioned that she would increase the dividend payment due to the cost of living crisis near the end of the video. Patricia also previously mentioned in her older videos that she cleared her student debt years ago.
@nikkibott3878 Жыл бұрын
It’s after tax. You can see at the top it says net and just over £5400 which is just over £65k net a year.

Sorry but no, your £60,000 salary is actually approx. £120,000...? taking home £5500 after tax to an average person is NOT the same as what you're talking about 😭

Business salary/dividends is around 7.5% take maybe a little more but not the 20-40% from a PAYE

She’s extremely smart and pays herself a salary but she’s the owner of a business that owns property, investments and pays her a dividend. It’s more tax efficient.
