Hey Ingrid, Well just your description of the events sounds almost overwhelming, so I'd be feeling it right with you. Lots of stimulation indeed. That does sound fun though and even rather adorable, what sounds like a masquerade party/race. 🙂Lovely, and hopefully slower rest of your week. That festival sounds a bit crazy to me ha. In a good way. I can't remember the last time I went to something like that! A lot of sensory information. I imagine if I went to something like that I'd reach a point where I'd shut down and disassociate though, I guess like you, that amount of people and stuff going on...gone are the days where I would simply pretend I'm fine with it all. But on the other hand if I had a festival like that near me I'd probably...wander through it quickly just to say I'd been 😂

2:20 a family wearing berets, marinieres and scarves, with moustaches, carrying baguettes, and smoking gauloises? 😄 Must've been a coincidence. It sounds like the event got tiring at the end, but it also sounds like you had a lot of fun. As for the holidays piling up... at least it's a good feeling that you can take time off whenever you might need it.

@@dulles1969 yes it was fun 😊 it is nice to have holidays, but less nice having to rely on the good will of your bosses to actually listen to your wishes. Hope they allow me the holidays i asked for.

@@radishraven9 Allow your holidays -- eek! To me (as a boss), the holidays of my reports are sacred. If someone asks for time off, I have no business saying no. Holidays have been 'earned' by the worker the same way that salary and benefits are earned, and the company doesn't decide how it's spent. The only caveat is the worker's own common sense for managing workloads -- but people are adults, treat them that way and everything works. Sorry, it's a hot button for me that workers are the business' greatest resource and must be treated well.

@@dulles1969 yes my boss allows me time off, but sometimes not the times i want as we need a certain amount of doctors at all times to stay open as a clinic. I also will be doing a placement in geriatrics 3 months and i can't take too many holidays during that period or they will prolong my residency. So yeah it is more complicated than for a regular job i guess. But i appreciate the rage 😂

Hi Ingrid, I hope you enjoyed the festival. It's good you managed to survive with all the noise. It's good you have such friend like some sort of safety net. Sleeping in the train can be a bit dangerous 😅 unless your destination is the last stop. I hope those holidays will be fine.
