Of course i experience new concrete physical experiences, but also i am endlessly thinking up new daydreams, ponderings, connections and meanings to things as an INFP.
This video is a bit disjointed as i talk about a lot of separate experiences. I talk about associating places to memories, creating stories when travelling, shifting personas and perspectives in different places.

This is so delightful Ingrid, and speaks to me so much! Yes, the associated memories on ones travels, recapturing yet creating new ones, even to overlay the sadder ones. And how one's imagination is fired in certain places. I suppose too there is the FI-SI loop, though also a kind of table tennis match between NE and SI, lots of alternating depending on the moment of experiences. Thanks for this, and hope you're well as possible all things considered. -Carm

INFPs and memories, and the Fi-Si loop when travelling - ha of course. I relate so much, and meeting the right types of people when travelling can be crucial, like to create new memories. I think that's one of the biggest motivations to do anything when I travel, to make memories (that feel so real for so much longer after I've returned home). And yes exactly, it's like becoming different people when you travel, adding so much to our INFP identities. Ugh I miss travelling. No wonder I feel in such a rut the longer I go without travelling.

@@vondelpete oh I'm sorry about being in a rut, I've felt that too 😔 Maybe going just to a new restaurant can be enough to reset things a bit? 🙂 But yeah I feel a terrible longing to go places now that I've travelled, maybe i should have stayed home and been content 🙈😂 i didn't really meet many people, mainly stayed in my bubble, but at least i didn't meet very unpleasant people in scotland so I'm ok 😅

Listening to you talk about role playing yourself into the life of a Scottish person put a smile on my face. Yes Queen Ingrid the great. I’ve never been to Edinburgh castle as well despite being 3 or 4 times.

@@nick005 haha thanks! Hmm interesting you have gone to edinburgh castle without seeing the castle. Was that a choice of yours or the opportunity never came?

@@radishraven9 haha Well I’ve been to Edinburgh on the train a few times but never went to see the castle as I was just having a look around not knowing where everything was. So never came across the castle but will have to work that out sometime. They were only one day trips for me. Probably didn’t explain that well. That it was the city I went to not the castle.

@@nick005 ah ok, well i guess makes sense since you live sort of close by. Just know that you need to book castle tickets online 2 days in advance, if you ever want to go!

@@radishraven9 haha yeah over 200 miles away but still close. Besides it’s still on the same island so it is easy. The train makes it easy. Thanks I didn’t think about booking tickets. 👍🏻

Very odd -- I left a comment and it never posted... let's try again. The way you describe how you experience travel is really well put Ingrid, and of course very familiar. My business travel is picking up again and ... it's just a lot. I really appreciate hearing you recall the places and memories you experienced in Scotland. You saw the symbols there that mattered and you felt the weight of history. That's all very significant.

@@dulles1969 yes exactly, the weight of history 😊 I'm sorry you have a lot of business travel, that sounds pretty exhausting. I hope you get some rest 😊

@@radishraven9 Funny thing that, my big trips were in July, and are next in September and October. But I was up at 3:30am for a client call, so -- thank you, you are exactly right. Today, I need some rest.

Hi Ingrid, Oh , I hope you will be fine and your family too. That's was a bit scary experience. I'm glad you are made it safely. Ah yes my memories and my emotions affect me alot. Indeed using Ne is always satisfying but getting into Si is something both good and bad since we can dwell on old things especially if it's they were unpleasant. Ah yes I can be a different person depending on my environment and the people who are around me. Like a Rubik's cube that have different arrangements. I think I can't rid of thinking about the past wherever I go even if I'm in a new environment. It sometimes really hard to focus on the moment. I like collecting information about monuments and and stuff but for me it's more Ne than Si but maybe I'm wrong. I do include the meaning too. Symbolism is something I'm interested in. It happened to have imaginary dialogues in the least expected places. My experience of the world is mostly lead by perceptions, stories then physical experience. My recalling of memories is weird and I tried to find a pattern but I didn't find any . As if things popping from nowhere. Thanks for lovely mention again. I hope you were able to have good memories. I'm sorry 😅 I didn't know that speaking french had that impact on you. Next time I will only use English if you want. Like you told when we met you grow but you are still Ingrid. Stability is important but sometimes expanding the horizon and experiencing new things is important too and indeed it shouldn't far from your comfort zone. I do fully agree with that phrase : I haven't experienced the world physically but I have experienced worlds inside. I do like that you are sharing your daydreams it somehow heartwarming that we share a similar process. Thank you Take care friend

@@sicparvismagna1294 thank you, it seems my family is fine. I guess learning about different facts can also be Ne curiosity, but i really have a hard time retaining anything, even if i love hearing/reading the facts. I love your Rubiks cube analogy! 😊 I'm sorry about the past clinging on. I genuinely think INFPs have the hardest time getting over the past, but they are all the stronger for it. 🙂 Oh no the french was nice! Like i said, i have to rewrite that narrative that french is for my teenage self and school, and what a perfect opportunity to speak to a friend in french! 😊

You are welcome. Nice to hear about your family. I can understand, it happens to me not to be retain things even if I somehow manage to remember weird details. Thank you very much Ingrid, your words are really nice. I'm glad you liked my analogy. Ah okay! It's really heartwarming that somehow contributed to rewrite your narrative ☺️

You talk about INFP alot; but you're really just autistic, right? To put it another way, autism is like having tunnel vision. If you are in fact autistic, then your "endlessly thinking up of daydreams, ponderings, connections and meanings" are manifestations of autistic tunnel vision, not INFP. Another way to describe autism would be to say that autism is like being in constant state of hyperfocus. And your endless thinking up of daydreams, etc, is just your mind bouncing from one hyperfocus to the next. Its a mental ADHD, which often characteristic of mild autism. P.S. Your videos are interesting! I"m not trying to judge you, I'm just trying to figure you out.
