@markymark162711 ай бұрын
Hey Alison! Thank you SO MUCH for such a lovely, informative video. My mom is 44 years old and struggling with a Candida overgrowth as well. It really hurts me to see her dealing with the same issues you just talked about (especially the extreme fatigue and "brain fog you mentioned). It gives me so much hope to see a woman like you who has experienced these debilitating conditions and is now radiating the confidence and energy that you do. Obviously your diet and supplement strategies have p-a-i-d off; you not only look beautiful, but I can just sense you really feel beautiful on the inside and that is so inspirational to see. :heart_eyes: Especially for my mom who often confides in me about not feeling attractive or beautiful anymore she would be thrilled to see it's possible to overcome that. Lol she may not be able to become someone who, frankly, oozes sensuality and alluring beauty like you, but I am sure it will give her hope! Thanks again and please keep uploading videors, you're amazing attitude and energy is exhilirating to watch, even for a young man like me without the same experience as you and my mom! I am sure she too will become an instant fan ❤ Keep up the inspiration!

Isn’t that crazy how allopathic medicine never addresses this. Unless you have thrush or vaginal yeast infection. I had a really bad case of gut candida in the 1980’s I was so sick from it. I felt like I was 80 vs 20. I developed allergies to everything. I found a MD allergist who happened to be considered a maverick in medicine and he dx me with candida. It took about 18 months for me to fully turn my health around with diet and supplementation. Dr. Wakeman was a godsend. And, people would make fun of him saying he was a quack. He was anything but and truly helped so many when mainstream medicine acted like it made up. Best wishes in your journey healing.

@cnrblog2660. I mean....not exactly true. It's entirely individualistic. Ive been dealing w/this for over 3yrs!! I did extensive research & figured it out on my own & now suddenly, Candida overgrownth is being mentioned everywhere! I fast on a reg basis, but i did a 2 day water fast & i STILL didn't get rid of it. Heres my ques...how do you know when it's going away? I'll think its getting better & the next morning i wake up w/my tongue solid white again & feeling like crap! What are symptoms of Candida leaving your body? This us so diff to get rid of!!

It's definitely a process, for me i started feeling improvement after starting Ann's plan in the first 30 days, and much better after 90 days, but it wasn't until a good year later that i started to feel like myself again. Stick to it. :)

Hi dear How long should I cut out natural and factory sugar, and when should I introduce natural sugar into my diet? Please explain. I have gastrointestinal candida
@NaturalTastyChef2 жыл бұрын
Hi, i's suggest cutting out all added sugars (cane, brown sugar and even things like coconut sugar, agave and honey for at least the first 90 days (3 months). Stick to birch sourced xylitol and good quality stevia during this period. after that see how you feel. I'd always stay away from refined sugars like cane, brown and corn syrup and mostly stick to honey, pure maple syrup and coconut sugar after that (in moderation of course). I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! What about coffee, it's not on the list, ... Can I continue drinking coffee while on the candida diet?
@NaturalTastyChef2 жыл бұрын
Great question. It's recommended to avoid coffee for at least the first 1 - 3 month and then you can add it back in and see how you feel. There are some great alternatives for the cleanse portion like yerba mate and another brand called Teccino. In my cookbook I also have some nice substitutions. When you do decide to add coffee back in, stick to organic. Lifeboost is a great brand that's organic and low acid. I hope this helps!

Thanks for providing this valuable information can you please tell me one more thing with how much time will take to recover with diet and anti fungus medicine and when candida overgrowth is back to normal can we eat anything like diary products sweet fruits like watermelon apple.
@NaturalTastyChef2 жыл бұрын
Recovery time will all depend on how severe your symptoms are and how long you've had them for. That being said, usually after about 3 months of a strict diet you should start to see and feel some changes. Try to think of it as a lifestyle change. Although you wont have to stay super strict your whole life, if you fall back into poor eating habits and an unhealthy lifestyle you can expect symptoms to reappear. I hope this helps.

The first time I got so sick, I ended up with a bowel blockage that led to a serious surgery. I'm going to find your book so I can figure out what to cook, I'm already so bored with my choices. Last time was very difficult, but with your help I think I'll get through this much faster this time. This video is 2 years old, but I see you're still responding to people. Candida supposedly increases sugar cravings. Any tips on how to fight the very thing that's making us sick?

Unfortunately, you can no longer get it, but i believe you can find other supplements out there that will help. Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience. Can you please tell me more about why beans and legumes are bad for candida? Many thanks!
@NaturalTastyChef Жыл бұрын
It's not that they are necessarily bad, but since they are so starchy it's recommended to limit them to 1 - 2 times per week initially, or omit them completely at first. Also, some people have a hard time digesting them. Ultimately, see what feels best for you. I hope this helps!

Question…how long into the Candida diet were you able to start eating your cassava tortillas? I’m 6 weeks into the CD and I made some yesterday, I had one with greens and egg in the morning. I had another one at lunch with salad inside of it and another one with dinner at night which was zoodles, turkey, and veggies. I felt that bloated stomach again and even into the next day. Maybe it’s too soon for me? Maybe eating three in one day was too much?
@NaturalTastyChef Жыл бұрын
Great question. It’s different for everyone, but 3 in one day so early in is probably too much. Maybe stick to one a day for now and at 3 months look to increase. It’s always good though to test these things because then you get a better idea of where you’re at and what you can handle!

Hi Hana, that's a great question. the protocol that I followed recommended avoiding fermented products for the first couple of months to allow the gut to heal. Do you have a video on how to make the dairy/sugar free creamer??
@NaturalTastyChef Жыл бұрын
I do not have a demo video but it is super easy to make. Here is the recipe: Ingredients 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk (from carton) 1/2 cup full fat coconut cream (solid from top of can) pinch sea salt Extras: liquid stevia agave nectar (if not on a candida diet), vanilla or peppermint extract Directions: Add everything to a saucepan and heat over low until mixed the coconut cream is liquid form and it's all fully combined. Pour into a glass jar and store in the fridge. ENJOY!
What is your diet now? Did the yeast overgrowth come back? Did you have any fungal acne?
@NaturalTastyChef2 жыл бұрын
I never had fungal acne, and i feel like i've been pretty good since. My diet is still pretty clean, similar to a candida diet, but i do use sweeteners like coconut sugar, honey and dates in moderation. I also eat more fruit now too. And i'll occasionally eat gluten, but notice inflammation if i go overboard. Same with alcohol. I'll occasionally have a glass of wine, but don't tolerate it too well. It's been about 10 years for me.
