When my drill press would stall I found a loose nut on a spindle above the pulley. Belt could definitely use a change too. Also Andy hasn’t got a 4x4 for the days out and I reckon he should get a Jimny, I drive a defender but the Jimny’s are super capable

I'd say new belt to tighten everything up on the drill press should do the trick. We've got an early 1900s thicknesser/planer at work and over time when the belt stretches it would pull any of the timber through, really struggles, spent ages before thinking it was the motor or something but has always been a case of removing a link in the belt and she's a go-er!

I can’t lie, I will always watch BQR videos all the way through. But all I want to see is the Cupra on track. I feel like you did the series on it and then we never saw you progress your skills with the car on track. I like to see this format with your videos Boq where you build something and we see you use it like the compact and defender but I feel like we never got that with the Cupra. Loved seeing all the cars in one place, same about the Passat's gearbox on the way out. Looking to sell my Touareg soon and get back into a Passat, loved the series you did on yours.... New cars wise, I reckon some sort of old bangers to rag around a field or some more beemers, for a change, or a "fancy" car restoration, Jag, etc Will be really happy to see Cupra videos again, get Misha in it on the ring! A trip in May would mean a mint video just in time for my wedding, gives me an excuse to get out early 🤣🤣 Keep it up, as always!

One thing you'll want to do on the Defender is remove the awning brackets and add gussets (2 for each 90° angle). Otherwise you will be in for a very rude surprise sometime when the wind has moved the awning up and down enough... Luv your Defender, tho.

Like the defender Plans. Just about to start swapping chassis and bulkhead on 1991 90. hopefully get that done ready for next season and with a bit of luck towing me trialler round which I have still got to re attach the gear box cross member. Will be watching out for the Gwynne lewis arms while mine is apart, I think Mahker have just featured them and sell them. well when you have one landy another sometimes joins the family maybe a 90? then something to drift Mazda MX5 maybe. Keep up the good work and I will be trying to get off the settee and under the Carport for some Christmas break strip down ready for a January chassis. Gloss black on a Landy isnt the nightmare it may be on other cars regarding keeping it clean. comes up good after a wash and looks the part when its got some dirt on it unlike something that should be highly polished at all times.

If you're gonna go budget coilovers in the Passat again, try out the Raceland Primos. I put them in my B7 wagon and set 4 clicks from full soft, its mad comfortable. For £400, can't fault them tbh.

I sanded down a full rapor e30 with a friend. An e30 is tiny compared to a defender. We had to 40 grit the LOT it was 3 weeks😂😂😂😂 its actually easier to go down to metal pretty much. U cant smooth rapor paint as it leavs loads of little bubbles as when u put it on it reacts to make the rapor. So u basically have to go back to the primer or what ever is underneath. I’d rather pole my eyes out with a fork than do it again

So I think you’ve replaced the Passat daily with an E46 touring. Then the project car will be something RWD and Japanese. Having watched the videos since the start, you loved the Datsun so I’m thinking another Japanese rear wheel drive car like a Silvia.
