Loved the review! Just bought a 2018 MX-5 GT (with Bilstein upgrade / LSD rear end) last October and have put 7000 really happy kilometres on it! You can't really have any more fun (legally) than this. Most of this driving has been in the dead of winter in central Canada, so if anyone ever says you can't winter drive one -- tell them to call me!

The MX 5 must be some car. I can't recall to ever watch a bunch of videos about how people love some car. The Miata truly has something about it that makes people love it so much and gush about it. I'm thinking of replacing my Seat Leon with the MX 5.

Hi just to let you know I feel exactly the same way. I am 58 years old i bought my mx5 about five months ago and I love it, the roof comes down every time and the stereo goes up I don't care what anyone else thinks as I drive it around my Town of Newark on Trent...... cheers phil

I had a PRHT NC and it had a luggage rack at the back. Didn't interfere with the mechanism at all. Brilliant car.

Mine's a mint little 2006 mk3. Driven some great cars but this is a favourite, drives great, reliability tip top. Great little cars-its whatever you need it to be. Cant get better two seater this side of a lot of cash.

I bought a 2010 Miata and I love it. I love drive I have a Cadillac XT4 so I'm used to driving larger cars This car is perfect for a summer car or just a adult toy, I find myself staring at the miata, I can't take my eyes off of her. I feel like a minion, I now know what all the hype is about now.

Aww Catherine don't mention that the Snake Pass is good to drive on as we'll only get more drivers on it. To everyone else - the Snake road is rubbish and is full of lorries doing 30 between Sheffield and Manchester. Avoid at all costs.

That was a lovely review and good job. One little pedantic thing.........with the roof down you should have AC switched off. It costs you fuel and power and isn't strong enough to provide AC to the planet as a whole :)

As a suggestion Cathrine If you are not already a member join the MX5 Owners Club . mx5oc.co.uk/ My wife bought a ND with some of the kids inheritance and so I signed her up, she loves it we meet every month and have runs out, meet ups, meals out, tours etc We are in Suffolk also so probably have seen you out and about . We are currently working on a route for the club to Ickworth House for a picnic later this year, lots of twisty lane driving always fun with 20 or so MX's in convoy. Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime :-(/
