23 years ago when I was 17 I got my 1st real paycheck and bought my 1st Carhartt. I’m 40 now and just “replaced” it with a new one. Needless to say, I can’t bring myself to wear the new coat for I can’t help but feel like I’m cheating on an old friend...she’s beat up and battered but she’s always been there for me even when no one else was. It’s in my living will to bury me in it. Not many people can say they’ve worn the same coat for 23 years! I’ll never wear anything but a Carhartt coat.

i have the exact jacket as you!! mine has a large tranmission fluid stain on the back and a small ranch dressing stain on the arm but looks great only washed it once. i love it!

I have a Detroit Jacket I’ve had since sometime in high school. I’m 30 now so I’ve probably had it around 15 years, it’s in pretty rough shape as I’ve done a lot of work in it but I can’t make myself throw it out, it looks pretty bad but I still work in it.
