It’s so nice to see a healthy morning routine that doesn’t feel forced or centred around productivity. It’s easy for me to feel inadequate when i see influencers share their “productive” routines, but this video is so calming and peaceful and it genuinely inspires me to integrate healing practices into my mornings.

I completely agree about not wanting to wear makeup everyday, because it's just feeding into the beauty standards that shouldn't exist in the first place. It's difficult to go against what I've been taught about beauty since I was a kid, and what we're still surrounded with today, but I want my actions to be aligned with my beliefs as much as possible. thank you for sharing your thoughts, hearing them helps ground me when I start to lose myself to societal expectations again.

@@jessicafarrugia6493 or maybe we could think critically about why women are expected to wear makeup in the first place and understand that just because we like doing something doesn’t make it free from harm and exempt from criticism. Not feeding into the beauty standards because I see no competition except for myself I’m my own competition I simply don’t like to wear makeup everyday I’m lazy 💀 but also I love the way I look without makeup the natural nizz is breath of fresh Air. 💚❕(also I know not everyone feels the same way I do a lot of ppl are insecure and feel a pressure to “fit it”)

@@lizzie1161 We could look at makeup as being another form of expression. For example, how we style ourseleves or how we do our hair, getting tattoos, all aren't exempt from criticism as well. it's really all about how we choose to decorate our bodies. Just because you're seeing people do make up in one form doesn't mean every person is doing it in the exact same way. Yes there are social / beauty standards placed on women to wear makeup, and yes it can be harmful, there's also people who use make up to express their personality. Those two perspectives can coexist.
@Daughterdaughters

@@eminaguso2126 makeup is doing nothing but creating insecurities. When you take it off you see a face you don’t recognize. These days people can’t go anywhere without wearing makeup you’re probably saying all this so that you feel better about it but be real makeup shouldn’t even be a thing it’s all for male validation and to cover up what under.

I love your take on makeup. Like many women I stopped wearing makeup during lockdown because like, no one's looking at me so what's the point? But when I went back to work, I continued to not wear makeup and it's so liberating learning to accept how you look and not letting a multi-billion dollar industry tell you you're not complete or beautiful without it.
