I can relate to you so much. I studied so much for CAT, like 8 months, working hard studying, but everything in vain. I did not get desirable marks in CAT, like very less. I cried a lot on the day the answer sheet released, I had hoped for the best but I got the worst. All my dreams of getting into a top BSchool was shattered. I have lost hope to be honest, like what bad can happen now, the exam that I worked for for so long, gave so much of my time, lost, everything is in vain. Today, If I tell you about my mental health, its bad, I am not well, I have lost all my hope, I like, haven't told my parents anything about the answer sheet, I don't know how and what I am gonna tell them or tell all the people who had high expectations of me. totally relate with your situation rn. i was in the same situation while attempting LRDI. 20 minutes lost and then panic kicks in... somehow left that set and did other set. but it impacted QA which was my strongest section. overall got 41 which was less than last cat attempt.

I can highly relate to you. This is literally heartwarming listening to you. I am in the same situation, 24 and took a long gap and now only scored 88 in cat, snap to gaya waise hi 38-42 attempts hai in 2 attempts and usme kuch hoga nahi i know because again I'm also a human and much mistakes to kiya hai mene i know mene memory based reviews dekh liye hai.. ab focus xat pe hai and hopefully, just hopefully xat sahi se ho jaye wahi ummeed hai for me and you both because agar ye nahi hua to well be at square one again.. worst comes worst ill take up a job for namesake and try next year again because I'm only 24 and ppl go into these b-schools at 27-28 years with 2-3 years workex and they end up well.. so that's the plan for now.. hope this works out for us.. it was nice seeing someone who shares a similar story like mine make a video.. kudos..

Your body and mind depends on the rate at which you inhale or exhale , my friend told me this thing 1 day before the CAT examination and I applied it during the exam and it really worked, when panic situation arrives , just close your eyes and control your breathing speed, it will prevent you from messing up the things, btw I was also demotivated and expecting around 45 score but I Scored 61 in slot 2

Took a gap because the company in which I was placed (through college placements) didn't call me for joining (even after issuing joining letter lol). Waited till Jan/Feb for the call but then was totally confused as to what to do. Heard about SSC CGL. Prepared for it for a month or so and then just gave up because of lack of motivation (my fault). Tried doing multiple things, didn't focus on any of them to gain any relevant skills or experience. Gave SSC with 2-3 months of prep. scored 140 (without normalization). Filled the CAT form because my friend was filling it. Didn't prepare for it even for a single day. Gave no Mocks, no PYQ's nothing (again my fault). Scored 75 in 2nd slot. Thought I'd get 97+ and at least might get a decent college being from GEM fresher category. Got 96.75. Confused again but will prepare seriously this time, meanwhile giving the Interviews I can land. Don't know if any will convert or not but at least will gain experience.

Definitely you should take up a job in 2025. I made the mistake of taking a gap of 2 years and then also didn't get blacki calls. And messed up in the Cap interviews. Now i regret not taking up a job early. Even if you get interview calls it's not sure that you will get admission also. That's why it's always better to have a job while attempting a cat, cat etc. It takes away the unnecessary pressure if the exam goes haywire.

I am in 4 the year of my college, I also gave 2024 CAT exam it was kind of a mock attempt for me as I previously planned to give CAT 2025. I couldn't prepare at all as I had a lot of college commitments and I am pretty bad with time management. I scored 72.93 percentile with 82.20 percentile in VARC, 62.48 percentile in DILR and 56.25 percentile in Quants. I got the experience of the test day which I planned on getting and I also learned that time management strategy that I made one day before the exam didn't worked. So I am going to begin my preparations from January 2025 and hopefully work hard and get 99+ percentile as less then that is not acceptable for admissions as I am a GEM student. See MBA can be done at point of life there is no age limit but for govt exams there is age limit. So if you want to start preparing for govt exams then start early

The same happened to me this year. Scored 89 percentile last year and thought that 2024 maybe ill be able to pull off 93-94. Turns out even after all the mock practices and everything, I ended up panicking in the exam. I attempted far less than i anticipated. My accuracy was correct but I wish I solved another DILR set, I had made up my mind to solve only one set because I knew that was all I could have pulled off but maybe another set would have increased my percentile.

I wouldn't sugarcoat as others imma be Blunt. preparing for almost 1.2 yrs and still ending up with less than 60% means your basics aren't clear. Sure there could be some section fuckups but not all the three. I say as this as I got 70% last year with 3 month prep as I panicked and this year 98% overall only VARC went bad,but i'll get most calls with my category. Hope you get your basics of QADI brushed up before XAT and do well! Also dont aim low at the beginning itself, aim high so that you'll end up with something decent

I completely agree with you , my aptitude has been always unclear because the foundation never was in the right place, jahan VARC humesha improve hua vahan quants poora hi reh gya peeche and video me bhi maine yahi bola hai ki the preparation cycle needs to be completed before the exam and foundation is also a part of it and XAT ke liye toh it's tough this year considering the reasons I mentioned but still I'll try. One difference is that we are opposite gender and the rest is the same. In DILR, I thought sets easy honge but slot 3 DILR wasn't easy.. 30min gone and I couldn't solve anything.. In 10 mins solved 9 questions which was a disaster mistake. Scored 4 in DILR .

Today I saw my cat scorecard, my score would not get me into an IIM. But, that was a good score. I took a gap year being a non-engineer female, and I am 21 years old. My parents were disappointed, but I realized that CAT is not everything, there is a beautiful life ahead, and also, like you, I was not really focused and I was not confident about a high percentile. These could be the 2 reasons that did not get me into IIMs. But that's okay, I also realized that the CORPORATE sector is not the right sector for me, because I realized that I cannot lead my whole life doing numbers and charts. I realized I like Public interaction and a GREATER PURPOSE, something for my people. So, it's okay, I MOVED ON. Now, I have learned myself.✌✌

in mocks on avg i got 88-90%ile, and was damn sure to score 95%ile+ but in that 2 hrs wtf happened got only 70%ile. BC pura dimaag kharab.
