If you heard me say ''Tabarnak'' a lot, here is the definition for the non quebecois folks out here ahahahah! TABARNAK! (f*ck!) It bears repeating because it’s a common misconception: the Québécois don’t swear by saying tabernacle; they swear by saying tabarnak. The swear word tabarnak comes from tabernacle, yes, but tabernacle is reserved for referring to an actual tabernacle. Pay close attention to the differences between the two words: tabernacle and tabarnak. The swear word tabarnak has an a in the middle (not an e), and there’s no le on the end.

I feed a brake cable through first for internal cabling then tape the di2 cable to the end of it and gently pull it through....loads more control (especially for getting round corners and through holes at the other end) - it saves hours.

Bare foot, on the couch, with your TT frame, wrenching out a stuck cable…..time to re-evaluate some of those life choices! 🤣🤣🤣 Charles, love the content! I used string and washers for weight to guide the string through handle bars and frame on my first Di2 install. Went to AliExpress, $8, magnetic install kit. 👍 Also, recommend Dire Straits and bourbon, tools for you, that TT bike needs a little finessing, not manhandling. 🤣

Super vidéo. Merci et profite bien de ton Scott Plasma. Ps: tout ces câbles coupés viennent d'un mauvais routing de ta part ou plutôt de la complexité du vélo?

I would say most of these problems are TT-bike specific problems. I'm not a good mechanic at all but after my last visit to a bikeshop left me frustrated (didn't fix my problem although I did pay for it) I now do most of it myself and I've put a a few roadbikes together (1 with di2) without much problems (I do have the jagwire internal routing tool), don't know about Hambini's BB's but normal Shimano pressfit BB's are easy to uninstall/install. Anyways I just hope that other brands will follow the Aethos route and stop with so much integration (or "update" their bikes with it), this is cool for racing and TT's but I don't care about 2 watts if it takes an hour extra to work on a bike!
@CharlesOuimet
@CharlesOuimet 3 жыл бұрын
well if those 2 watts ads up for every improvement, it's totally worth the extra work at the beginning in my opinion!! Thanks for sharing man
@KoenMiseur
@KoenMiseur 3 жыл бұрын
@@CharlesOuimet for you maybe but most people aren't racing, so for them/me it's just an annoyance that shouldn't be dealt with. Don't forget that only a very small percentage of people buying roadbikes (not talking about TT-bikes) are racing them, for the rest of us even 15 watts doesn't matter, we just want to have fun on the bike and don't want to put in hours waisting on maintenance (and I even like working on my bike) but want more time for a beer!

Unless you're in a shifting competition while racing, the shifting speed between the 2 is imperceptible. I remember when Lance used a dowtube shifter for the front derailleur and an STI for the rear at the TdF, just to put in perspective the importance of the front derailleur.
