You might consider putting a winch rope protective sleeve on your winch line where it passes through that hook to prevent damaging your winch line. From Michigan, enjoy your videos 👍

I have a 54”KFI plow on my cforce 800. It would be better if your winch rope went straight down to your plow, less strain on the winch and the rope. You want to just lift blade, Not pull and lift. I too got rid of the metal cable. I bought a winch strap this year it is 64 inches long. I am going to try that out and see how that works out. I use a roller fair lead with the strap. In the spring, I’ll put the synthetic rope on with aluminum fairlead for the summer. To stop the rust I spray the frame and the bushings with corrosion free rustproofing. It doesn’t take out your bushings like some other products. Available at CTC. I like the videos and the information you are providing and the trail adventures.

I think with that extra hook it will put more strain on things. Than if u didn't have it. Same idea as trying to lift blade at edge by hand or move back a foot or so. Your fulcrum moves. Just like a teeter totter . Not sure if I explained it very well

Nice set up on the quad. Local bylaws won’t allow atv use in town so I use a snowblower for clearing my driveway. So far this season not much snow but I am sure we will all be getting some soon. Enjoy your ride tomorrow. 👍.

@@FANATICALSIDERIDER appreciate it I use a 3/16 and have a hawse fairlead . It’s my first season using a plow on the Atv. Have you had any problems with the hawse fairlead wearing the rope . I recently saw a video of someone using a kfi rolling fairlead for synthetic rope !
