I like Chris Rufo. He is doing good work. He is bringing the work that James Lindsay has been doing to the masses. I would love to see a conversation between the two of them. They might both be able to sharpen their game.

@@Himmelvakt it's pretty cool to notice how much good common sense can fit with our Christian faith, so far his values and criticism fit with mine nicely... and I have 3 decades committed to this principle from the Bible: 1 Ths. 5:21-22 prove all things; hold fast that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.

@@Himmelvakt So?? I have no problems with that at all. I'm not a Christian (not that this should/would stop being an admirer of the men in question) and primarily a 'skeptic' and a questioner. My approach to life fits Dr. Saad's Weltanschauung quite well. I don't claim to have answers to the big questions of "Life, the Universe, and Everything"...especially the existences of a supreme creator who involves himself in human lives.

The creation of this new college in Florida does sound exciting. To liberate some of these academics, it will be necessary to provide streams of research revenue. The Woke unfortunately have determined the protocols to use to apply for research funding.

I don't think the ideas necessarily lose their appeal as people grow older, but the realisation that the landscape of human nature contains more than scenic scenery is an obstacle that takes more than ideas to overcome.

Gratifying to see the sane edge of conservatism. I think it must be not so far apart from the sane edge of liberalism. It reminds me of the good old days before both sides went off the deep end (especially, of course, the right).

Now I want an equally qualified black man or woman to write a critical review of this white man’s critique. I also want to say as a 77 year old feminist that there needs to be a clear cut differential made between radical leftists and those mostly left of centre or just right of centre people who have not read philosophy but who are genuinely concerned about poverty, unemployment, rapidly changing technologies and their effect on society, the inequities within the legal and prison system in which so many black men are incarcerated which certainly points to continuing racism, the deterioration of our health and education systems and etc. I’ll give you my most conclusive opinion as why and I sorry to say it does indeed have to do in how our political, educational and legal systems promote mediocracy and stupidity. There is too much corporate investment and influence and hence built in corruption. There is too much cowardice in those who have actual intelligence and don’t speak up for fear of losing their position of wealth and power - they have become corrupt. And by the way, having Trump and Tucker Carlson as your heroes belies what you say you stand for. Neither Trump or Carlson had to worry about how unfair life is because they were born with silver spoons in their mouths. They were not self made men. They had connections and Tucker married up. Now the brave ones who are speaking up about many issues and who are in some cases re-examining their positions and fighting back are being cancelled by the extreme left and the extreme right and those in the middle are being manipulated by both. I am a GAAD fan basically because he’s humble.
@fatmonkey4716
@fatmonkey4716 Жыл бұрын
I see the problem as selfishness. You want something, but you want others to do it for you. And Trump and Carlson are not perfect, but waiting for the perfect person to fix all the problems in the world is ignorant. They are cultural revolution leaders, in that, they helped regular people realize the manipulation behind the media. I have the ability to think critically and not judge the message by the messenger, of course there are limits, but that is why critical thinking is so important.

MILLIONS are given to sham groups like the NAACP who undermine black people and never call a spade a spade. Since its inception, we have seen a giant decline in standards of living and morality among American blacks. Nearly a full 80% of black children in America are now illegitimate. Yet this shake down group says NADA. If you want to point a finger, lady, point it at the race hustlers. Morality and virtue are pretty plain and simple and outstandingly effective. There are black males incarcerated because Americans, with blacks jumping in first but whites and others following, have chucked norms and values out the window and expect to get the same results. After 77 years you should understand the basics of life, lady.
