Leaking o2 sensor means unreliable afr readings. Joe is a smart business owner. The moment you told him the o2 sensor was leaking not only did he not want to make a hp prediction he wanted you to dyno your own car just in case the engine went 💣
@itsreallyjakub4 ай бұрын
Yup Joe’s the man
@midlifecars4 ай бұрын
Just an fyi on these cars, they don’t use the front 02 sensors during a WOT pull as it goes into open loop fueling, so no correction is possible….so a leak would make virtually no difference in WHP, but it would definitely make a difference in how the fueling is during other driving conditions when it’s in closed loop. Great numbers btw! I guessed 450whp on a dyno jet before the pull so I was probably a bit low…got a strong car there!!!

These engines are pretty reliable and strong stock… changing plugs can be a issue sometimes, but probably the only major flaw but I think was fixed in 04
@GTStuning-4 ай бұрын
It should still have long term fuel trims and if they are positive prior to full throttle, such as if there is an exhaust leak causing a false lean situation, it will mistakenly add a bunch of fuel to that "lean" bank. Those positive trims carry over to full throttle, just not negative ones.

You really need an auxiliary idler pulley for the smaller 2.9" supercharger pulley. If you go even smaller, you will have belt slippage for sure. Might as well change out all the cheap plastic idlers while you're at it, lots of guys have had them explode on them under throttle. It's quite common on the Termi. Lethal Performance sells the Metco kit for around $580 for the double bearings' ones. Worth it.

You should check your boost numbers and also measure your lower pulley before you put on a smaller upper pulley. There is a limit to the Eaton before you just start spinning it too fast and making too much heat. Also to see if your blower is ported, check for a stamp with "stiegemeier" on the front, that was a popular company to port the Eatons or if you can also take off the inlet tube and look into the blower inlet for signs of porting.

It sucks not being able to work and make and then spend that money... I can't afford to enjoy my crippled life, only suffer from it as I watch others take Everything for Granted that I can't do. After the crash 3 years ago, I lost the only thing I could do for work, Drive a car! All because a stupid person in the truck was on her phone and slammed into me at over 60mph! I lost my car, a 2011 crown vic that I had wanted for many years before I was able to get a deal on one.... a car I loved and a job I loved all taken from me. Now I spend my days suffering from pain and the depression caused by not being able to do the one thing I loved do more then anything, DRIVING! It hurts too much now, so even if I had the money, I'd still not be happy because unless I can buy a new spine, I'll never be able to go back to my old life of being able to enjoy driving.... I can't even get pain meds from a doctor so I can try playing a racing sim without pain distracting me, I just sit in my wheelchair and suffer. I don't get out unless I'm going to be lied to by a doctor telling me all the reason why I have to suffer.... I can't keep living just to suffer, I need a reason to keep fighting the pain... and I just can't see anything but more suffering in my future. (If I wasn't broken, I might have had a chance at living my dream of becoming a racing driver, but no one will work with someone that can hardly walk and hurts too much to be useful)
