You asked if Gerard was the only one who sings, he's not! Gerard is the lead vocalist but Frank Iero and Ray Toro have both done backing vocals or a lot of MCR's songs (it became really easy for me to hear it after listening to their solo projects). When you have time, it would be really cool to see you react to something from the Danger Days album. It's a concept album (like the Black Parade album) that is based off of a comic series Gerard was/is writing and it's really different from a lot of their other projects!

We are all *supposed* to love Black Parade more, but I was a metal kid and this album, from top to bottom, is way more satisfying. Black Parade has higher highs but also lower lows. I've been trying to like Disenchanted for 14 years and I still skip that song every time. I don't even skip the classical guitar instrumental on this album.

Exactly he does offer to accept everyone's pain and poison to make him I'll as their chasing something he's aware is smoke screen. Turning to beliefs won't save you from the pain you're guna feel while the one your being preached to about is supposed to save you from this. It's such an open pov and theirs songs have saved so many lives with different ideals being pulled through the lyrics.

Thank you for this reaction! My life has changed a lot since 2004 but one thing that hasn't changed is that MCR is my favorite band! This song gives me whiplash on the train to nostalgia town. Can we talk about Ray Toro's EPIC guitar solo!? Other underrated MCR songs that I always go back to: Mama (featuring the legendary Liza Minneli!) Theatrical and fabulous The Ghost of You (co-written by Frank Iero) super sad boy feels but absolutely gorgeous Demolition Lovers (my personal favorite song from their first album, it shows both how talented they always were and how far they've come)

Gibby - new here, great vid...I always felt the idea behind "give me all your pills, etc." is in the context of "I'm already a lost cause, so I will take your pain so that you don't have to fight that fight." Kinda like "Don't worry about me, I've accepted my fate. You can still make the change so let me help you get hid of your pain." Martyrdom done out of love and compassion. Like, "I wrestle with demons and giants, so YOU don't have to."
