Gerard Way is the singer, and the scene where the guy in glasses (his brother, Mike Way) is shot was done in one take because Gerard fell too far into the role and he says to him, it felt like his brother really had been shot.

This is the bands best song and video by a wide margin. Probably one of their darker songs overall. The WWII aesthetic in the video is both gorgeous and haunting as hell. The song itself is perhaps about giving love and receiving it when you have the chance to... Not holding back. As a combat vet you know all too well that everything can be gone in an instant. Sometimes you gotta let the people you care about know that you care about them because it might be the only chance you get.

Spot on review/reaction. Only thing is that's not footage from "Saving Private Ryan." Therefore the band spent a lot of money doing that footage & the soldier's ball. This song sonically is screechy & whiny at best yet the visuals saved it in my humble opinion it's like a punk rock? dedication to WW2 hopefully one of their dedicated fans can drop a comment if the band said why they did this. A backstory would be helpful such as maybe they had a family member in WW2 or something? Performed in France? Visited Normandy thought well they will use their art to write a song?

I don't know enough if any of their family ever went to war, but they as far as I know they had this concept to actually promote anti-war alongside Green Day's Wake Me Up when September Ends. Another trivia is that they guy that was shot (the glasses) is actually the vocalist's brother, hence the very emotional reaction from the singer. I'd say it's one of their best made music video in terms of production etc.

Do love my chemical romance, but agree he is a little hard to understand sometimes , great singer though overall. On the topic of D-Day, you were in the military so sure you get this, it's not even bravery sometimes, you're in you're in, kinda have no choice once you get your orders. Appreciate you praying for peace, I'd never wish war on anyone.
