This album came out a year after my mom died from cancer. I was a kid at the time, but remember everything and this song really encapsulates the journey of watching a loved one lose the battle. It’s hauntingly beautiful. But the whole album is worth a listen. At 12 years old it really helped me understand grief and the process of saying goodbye. Also when they do play it live, there’s never a dry eye in the crowd. Thanks for covering this one. I’d love to hear your thoughts following seeing it live at WWWY!
