Can you explain the Kelvin and intensity options, what do they do if you have the rgb 0-100% already?

From what I understood from using the app, RGB and Color temperature and intensity are 2 separate setting options, either set the lights thru RGB or thru Color temperature and intensity. What I personally use is the RGB mode instead of K and intensity.

more details is required. exact tank dimensions, how heavily planted is the tank, your fertilization schedules and method. Without knowing other details its hard to recommend any settings

if you really want red plants and a carpet, ofcourse the max settings is the best + nitrate limitation. BUT you have to consider a lot of things before maxing the light settings

I do own Chihiros WRGB2 and I do not have the White bar setting under auto mode(same as you) It appears just under manual mode. So how can I adjust the intensity of light (white) as setting up it under auto mode ? How can I know what intensity of my light actually is, without having white setting. As well under manual mode when I set the color intensity and then I am setting up the white the color bars are moving as I am adjusting the white. So how is it possible? Is it changing the output color of light by adjusting the white ???? As well under manual mode as set my preference of each color intensity(ratio setup, while at this point I still do not know the actuall intensity...)and wanting to set the white intensity it erases my preference of colors it just erases the color ratio(my custom) and moves the percentage of colors on its own according to white intensity. So where is the truth? The white or the colors? I have not played with kelvin settings,yet, but it seems to behave the same way as white setting... Or is there different logic that I do not follow, yet?? The light is high tech of these days, but software is miserable. I cannot save adjustments under the same already saved name... As adjusting the current red settings under auto mode it bounces the red color on graphic diagram-not reflecting the real set percentage of red....... How do you know your intensity? For example i have setup my preferences and after one week I want to increase just intensity with my colour preferencies (ratio) the same.

I dont know why its not showing on yours, maybe you need to update your app. The RGB setting is separate from the intensity and color temperature. either you only adjust the RGB intensity OR only use the preset intensity and adjust the color using color temperature measured in Kelvin... if you choose to setup your light using the RGB intensity is the average of all 3 colors. or specifically declare it as it is ( example Red80% green40% Blue 60%, average intensity is 60% since the average of all 3 is 60 meaning you are using 60% of the lights maximum capacity. ) this is marketed as WRBG or white red blue green because each individual LED can display such colors and premix it. thats why you are not seeing separate reds whites and blues compared to other lights plus the White screen is a diffuser to properly diffuse the light and colors and help further mix the colors. if you want to use the same color setting but want to increase the intensity, you'll just have to estimate it. (old R 80 G 40 B 60) (New R 90 G 50 B 70) pick your old setting and just add your preferred intensity, in my example i just added 10 to each rgb setting. the app has a long way to go to being perfect but I'd rather have one than not have anything at all. In the end just estimate each setting according to your preferences and dont stress out too much in the numbers

@@AquaristForFun Thank you for making it clear that you must either use RGB setting or Kelvin with intensity--not both together. The interface as it now stands is a little confusing on that point because it shows changing RGB proportions up top that illustrate what their balance is for the Kelvin you choose at the bottom.

Does the lights turn on automatically when you set the time of daylight? Or do you have to be closeby with the app open to have the lights turn on?

It turns on automatically once you set it up thru the app. you dont have to be there during that specific time.

I have a 45 wrgb2, sometime after a power cut the light is not executing the auto on off function, for example if a power failure happens at 8pm and the sunset option is at 10pm the light is not turning off by itself, the same goes for turning on... I also turn off Bluetooth on my phone and close the app from recent apps list, is it due to that? How do i fix this?

I’m able to see my commander 4 on the app but it just wouldn’t connect to it. Any idea if it’s a recent app issue?

sorry for the late response, A bit busy in IRL work... are you still having issues? try refreshing the app, once you get to the main page, try swiping it down, it will refresh and anything connection issues should be resolved. I sometimes get the same issue with lights, but can be easily dealt with a simple refresh.

Hie, I just installed my new WRGB2 , after some hiccups I was able to connect my phone. Now under auto settings if I select any of the presets, let's say BRUCE or selected ALL , do I still have to adjust the intensity and Kelvin? I am a bit confused as both the sliders for intensity and kelvin are at minimum in whichever presets I select.

HI, no. I know it can be a bit confusing. but you either change the RGB setting or Intensity/Color temperature. If you change the RGB, you dont have to change the intensity or temperature

I am not sure. Not sure why you wouldn't use the app as well. without using the app, if you just plug it in, it won't light up

This tool is crappy to adjust things. Does anyone know the android folder location that stores presets? I cannot remove nodes from the light schedule.

yup, there is Buce, red, shrimp, fish and other preset options. i personally prefer the BUCE setting

No. What I usually do is I refresh the app by swiping it down to refresh the page.

Will this light work on 60 cm or 2 ft hight tank

it should be ok as long no large shadows are made by super large rock or wood. for a dutch style im confident that it will still be sufficient to grow carpets. but if you want a contest level tank with a lot of shadows maybe chihiros VIVID 2 is better

@@aquariumlife8904 make sure your bluetooth is on. when having problems, close the app, close it from the recent app or Force close it in the settings for android. open it again and try. what light are you using

My personal opinion is always use sunsun light better for plants.. Dont waste ur Money on this light are only for Attraction thats it..

tried it, good enough for low tech to mid tech setups but not for high tech setups.It can not provide enough light for some plants near substrate-level resulting in stems being leggy. pogostemon helferi is growing vertical and not making a compact bush because it was trying to reach more lights. Hemianthus cuba when at 40cm deep grow vertical instead of carpeting
