@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Hi Amy Great question. There are a few things at play. If one side of a link is set trunk "ON", DTP (by default) is still enabled, and so the other end could be auto, and it would still form a trunk. your point about questions being "great" hits home. MCSA asks idiotic trivia questions one after the other. I had to use Kaplan just to pass it. Frankly, I don't understand how people can pass the CCNA and be so weak on conceptual understanding of networking. I don't care about memorizing nomenclature, like the DNS packet structure.

Keith Barker, another way to look at, We are all beginning this journey to get our CCNA, you have created a CCNA family, once we earn our CCNA, some in the family will want to advance to CCNP, but maybe at that point they could use CBT nuggets to learn the more advance knowledge. Something to consider, (no need to reply to this thought) you started this following how do you maintain it once they have Earned their CCNA? Do you let them go or still put more content that is on subjects outside and advance CCNA. One final thought, all the study material is the same subjects, the difference is the delivery of it. We come to your channel because of your personality your energy and your graphics you are warm welcoming and human because we all love to see a few non planned things along the way which makes you human and makes me smile when you make a slight mistake like forgetting to change the camera view. Your reactions and just go with the flow approach is fun! Thank you for everything you do!

Does the new exam contain anything about WAN protocols such as PPP or Frame Relay? I'm looking at the blueprint and I'm wondering why the WAN stuff seems suspiciously absent. Do I still need to lab this? Do I need to lab other routing protocols besides OSPF? And how much VoIP is in there, do I need to do any VoIP labs? It seems like there are these giant holes in the official syllabus.
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. For the CCNA 200-301 there isn't anything specific in the exam topics (exam blueprint) regarding PPP or Frame Relay. No great reason to lab that up for the CCNA. For VoIP, the blueprint touches on high level QoS topics that could apply to voice traffic. Other than that, no VoIP lab work would be needed for CCNA. Hope that helps, and happy studies.

Once you get a job with the help of ccna certificate do you have to keep renewing it?
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. Yes, there is a re-certification requirement that can be met in a few different ways. Here is more detail on that www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/recertification-policy.html Happy studies!

@@KeithBarker let me just confirm what I think I just read. Your telling me you can actually renew Cisco certificate like ccna by simply taking an online course? I thought you only have 1 way to renew it which is retaking the exam all over again.

Do I have to uninstall my antivirus to give the exam?
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question Aman Kushwaha. I don't think they require any removal or un-installation of anti-virus.

Thanks for the continuously great information, Keith! Will the CCNA 200-301 online exam be continued on with after the testing centers reopen? Will this be optional?

is paper & pin allowed ??????? for online ????
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question Kele. For the online experience, no paper or pen, but they give you an online tool (in the interface for the test) that you can use, that is similar to MicrosoftPaint. You can type in notes, draw a little with a mouse, etc.

How much time do you get? 90 mins? And what score is a passing score? (if you can disclose that)
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. Cisco adjusts the passing score from time to time. I think the Pearson Vue site posts the details about the length of the exam, and the number of questions.

Only watched 10 minutes thus far, but does this mean that keith had a different opinion from Chuck and Jeremy on if the new ccna exam questions are good?
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question Hunter, yes. I thought the exam was fair and adequately addressed each of the sections of the blueprint.
