My Clean Slate Routine | Deep Clean With Me | Aja Dang

I'm Aja Dang and I'd like for you to join me on my deep cleaning adventures for a clean slate! This video was shot specifically for New Years (no one wants to bring cluttered karma into their life for the new year) but I recently did this routine for my 34th birthday.
While I focused this routine around major life events, sometimes you just need to do a mini version of this routine to make you feel better/give you a fresh start after a really rough day.
I've found that giving your space a really nice deep clean allows you to feel... lighter. Sometimes it's the easiest, most obvious things you need to do to make you feel good.

Ya’ll remember to clean your washing machine - ESPECIALLY for front load machines! There’s so much gunk that collects behind the seal. You have to drain the filter, run a disinfectant load. Manufacturers recommend it to do every 3 months. Seriously nooo sour towels in this house!!!

Something so therapeutic about watching cleaning videos. The rug scene had me cracking up, cats and dogs must always get on the rug when we’re trying to do something whether it’s a yoga mat or a rug.

oooof, the rug is definitely something I dont wash as often as I should. literally will put my face on the rug when I lie on it but also everyone steps on it SOOOO pretty gross of me LOL

How satisfying to watch. LOVED that fridge before and after. 😍 I’ll happily deep clean and organize my home, but damn I hit a wall with digital organization. My device desktops and phone are cluttered and full of old photos. 🙈

Ok, it's dogs. They bring in SO MUCH RUBBISH. It's coming up on a year since we got Cayley and I swear our floors don't stay clean for more than 5 minutes after we vacuum 😭😭 but she's cute so I don't mind that much 😅

I'm trying to do a deep clean of my entire apartment for Chinese New Year but it's so stressful and I'm making such little progress! There is literally a room in our apartment where you can only open the door. The rest of the room is covered in piles of boxes and randomness that my husband has accumulated. I'm Marie-Kondo-ing everything that I can so I can finally breathe and enjoy coming home in 2021. It looks like you keep a pretty tight ship day to day. How long does your deep clean routine take?

I love this and totally get it. Cleaning changes up the energy. This is the type of clean I always want to do but rarely have the energy or time for. Especially with kids up in the mix dirtying things right away.

Don't forget to be kind to yourself and that you deserve to take of yourself outside of your self-care routine! And that self-care includes figuring out your priorities and holding yourself accountable for getting them done. I finally got my finances under control and paid off all my debt this year and can safely say that budgeting and maintaining my life/organization is part of my daily self-care rituals. You got this!!

A good tip for a tidy pantry... Eat what you buy and get rid of the things that have been there more than 3 months (with the exception of emergency supplies that can be stored elsewhere)

I'm in the middle of doing this right now. Everything getting washed and cleaned. Mainly because I'm due with my first baby in 3 weeks or less and my house needed a clense. I deep clensing. We just came back home from dealing with family emergencies and negative vibes so it is really important for me to clense my home and myself before baby girl gets here
