I visited Thailand for the very first time last November 2023, first visiting Bangkok for a week then Pattaya for two weeks. I was stuck at Doha airport for nearly 36 hours due to terrible thunderstorms over Qatar before making my final connecting flight to Bangkok. Maybe I got 6 hours sleep over 48 hours. I remember feeling utterly elated and excited as I was walking to passport control at Bangkok airport. I was in Thailand! I had the best time of my life both in Bangkok and especially Pattaya. I felt very emotional, as if I was leaving a loved one behind, as I took the elevator up to passport control to take my return flight. Exactly as you said in this video and others. I suppose I was leaving a loved one, her name is Pattaya. Anyway I'm going back in June this year.

Love watching your.channel, no-way could I do the train hopping in the UK, we always just head to Manchester Airport by taxi, then a 2 hour layover in Qater when we head to Thailand,, we always use Boss taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya, enjoy Thailand xx

Steve you are a natural, even something as banal as a simple commercial flight is interesting and entertaining. I don't know how you can keep up the quality? Man you make the others seem so amateur. Brilliant, how did they keep you off tv? So you are going to live the dream, good on you mate. I am retired and living the dream here in England making my great guitars, but why shouldn't I also have a little fun? So when it gets really cold, say january february time I can take a holiday from English retirement and get some heat. It's tempting!!! When I make a booking to come to Jomtien, quieter for us old folks I'll get in touch to meet up with the main celebrity in town; that's you you silly bugger. You must use time now to do what you want after many years of satisfying others. Leaving family is hard but as you say, you can easily connect and they can come and see you so distance is not an issue like it used to be. Life is to be lived with health advice not taken as gospel but carefully considered for sure. Mate, if I was you and my situation is pretty close to yours, I would kick back, indulge in the pleasures on offer (food, drink, company!), and live. Life is crazy fragile. You could get bitten by a mosquito and kark it of dengue fever tomorrow, get an illness nothing to do with drinking alcohol, worry about stuff that in the end makes bugger all difference but consumes negative thoughts. Let loose and look out the windscreen of life in front of you not the rear vision mirror of what others have said. I am in Jomtien next month and it would be great to be in the same bar at the same time as you and enjoy the here and now.
