I have a similar setup as that, but check out the shure blx1288/w85. It can be powered from the speaker and has a lavalier for the officient and a handheld for the bride and groom! Work on 500 to 600 hz frequency... never had a drop out even at 60 80 feet in a ceremony.

Question if you have 2 mics. One for groom and one for officiant. What do you do for bride ?
@harmrosebrock9477Ай бұрын
I need an answer for that two :D
@Justin_TheDJАй бұрын
You never put a mic on the bride! When the Bride & Groom do their vows, they face each other. You use the Groom's Mic
@izzyduzzit00Ай бұрын
@@Justin_TheDJ so it picks up from the mic the groom has on or does he take it off for that moment?
@djgreigzaАй бұрын
@@izzyduzzit00 Yeah it will pick up the bride. The mic is omnidirectional so it will easily pick up the bride and groom as they face each other.

@@Justin_TheDJ I've recently picked up the Comica Vimo C (the 2 mic to 1 receiver unit). Similar to DJI. These 2.4GHZ mini mics work so well, I must admit I was sceptical.... It's great not needing to wire a lapel and belt pack, just attach the mic to the groom in 10 seconds and good to go !

How'd you get to that screen on the Everse app with the volume sliders? I haven't been able to find a screen like that.

How did you control the DJI mics by muting them via another app?! That's crazy. I'm assuming it was the two XLR's? May need to forgo my ceremony rack and just do something even smaller since I already own the DJI mics.

👍 Nice, discrete and small, no ugly camping-table and rack setups next to the guests. The Everse8 looks so clean compared to fx the Wave8 recently promoted at a similar video at the "AlphaTheta promotion YT-channel" (aka N Spinelli 🤣). Impressive with just that little DJI receiver, line of sight from top of the speaker probably also helps a strong signal..

@@Justin_TheDJ No hate at all 😉 Just saying seeing you with only a tablet in the hand (at 5:35 in the video) make you disapear compared to a "soundtech dude with rack, campingtable and chair setup". Maybe connect them with a SKAA transmitter via a mixer? Not sure if the EV Everse 8 can send mic audio from one speaker to the next. Hmmmm 🤔

On the iPad are you using algoriddim djay, iTunes, or are you using a 5G tablet plan to just use something like Spotify or Tidal ? Have my first wedding gig next month and will be providing music for an outdoor ceremony no microphones needed, I will be using a new iPad M2 air with a JBL partybox 110 on a tripod stand... don't come at me for the party box I've invested money in the main setup and don't have anything left for outdoor ceremony speakers at this time.... I have a 1-acre property and recently had a party with almost 70 people the party box 110 got plenty loud it can easily get loud enough to where people start having to talk louder so they can hear each other over the music. There will be 70 people at the ceremony sitting quietly in their chairs no doubt they will hear the music loud and clear

If you don’t have a hotspot, to be safe download the music you will be using for ceremony to your iPad then use the djay app if you have it.

Sorry, but using bluetooth mics for a moment that important, when you want to make 150% sure there will be no issues with the drop outs is a NO WAY. There is a middle between high end mic system and a DJI… Sorry Justin, but as much as I really enjoy your contents and personality, I have to disagree on this one. On top of that, it’s showing to your customers how simple: hey look at how simple my setup is and I install it in 3 minutes (even, we know it takes longer + the biggest part is prep), but that gives « negative » feedback to your customers. And at the end, hey are the ones that brings $$ and not us watching the video ;-) That said, I give you a 👍 because it’s still quality content ❤
@Justin_TheDJ5 күн бұрын
Hey man thanks for the feedback. I totally get what your saying from the customer's point of view. That being said, a good chunk of the weddings I do I throw in ceremony sound for free. When it comes to the actual ceremony: I've been using this setup for years. Like I said in the video, I know the range can be an issue and I always keep that in mind when doing a ceremony. Other than the range, the setup works great and ive never had an issue with it. Along with multiple compliments from clients, i think the setup that I have is sufficient to get the job done. Again thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it!
