Excellent session Swami Ji, Thank you for guiding us to improve on higher level . The whole session was running through the one word "Concentration" which made the session highly beneficial . The insights and takeaways from session need to be discussed and taught on every schools n colleges in India. When i looked at Viewership of this video i felt , New generation of Indians are not getting much benefited from the Wisdom & knowledge of our Gurus and Swamis due to various political and religious reasons .

Unselfish Concentration will transform us to a good and efficient humanbeing. 🙏🏻Thank U Sarva Priyanand gi for your lecture on Concentration.I will definitely follow this method and spread this knowledge to good people.Till now I was concentrating on my problems.I am one of the Parama Shiva🔱🌙 bhaktha. From now onwards I will detach my concentration on my problems and attach full percent of my concentration to my work and will finish my pending PhD.I am also happy to know that my birth star's (Rohini) animal (🐍)is the symbol of concentration.I will concentrate like a snake and will become a teacher and spread this teaching in most possible way under the limitations of the work which I will be destined to do.

@@ryuk5310 it's just cognitive behaviour pattern ingrained in Subconscious. Nothing but a habit. If you slow down your activities and thinking throughout the day and respond instead of react (even in mind) ,it might help. Secondly, never be self critical for trivial things. Like I failed in exam, I don't have good job etc , these things are not entirely in your hand. You can only change the mindset and habits not outcomes.

34:45 Why do we get bored? Out of 110 bits we invest around 80-90% on things we enjoy. On things we dont enjoy we generally spend 30-40% is invested on the work the rest is scattered in other things. This very phenomenon is responsible for the feeling of boredom. When we invest 80-90% pf our attention on some thing ,that feeling is pleasure. So enjoyment and boredom is not dependent on the activity. Enjoyment-80 to 90% of focus is there on activity Boredom-Maybe 30-40% of bandwidth is focused on one activity. Enjoyment and boredom is not something intrinsic to activity. If you want to enjoy something try to focus all your energy on it. To do this the activity should be in proportion to our skill. Challenge should be in proportion to our skill.

I was going through lectures on Mandukya..intrinsic existence is meaningless if it is not knowable is perfectly logical but leads to contradiction did not universe or gravity existed before first microbes emerged in universe. At that state of universe it contradicts. This contradiction can only be overcome logically if we have knower during the birth of the universe....this is what I am adding ..which is the logical conclusion from that...very interesting. This is 4th fundamental state..purusha..or witness or observer. This is also true of 3 states of human beings...awaken state...everything has mass hence instantaneous change cannot happen like dream. Dream has space and time but no mass. Deep sleep has time does not have space..everything at rest.Beyond these 3 is the witness! This answers shrodinger hypothetical cat problem!

1) Disengage instead of watching youtube.. i.e meditate when you have overused your mind after studying. 2) The practice of noticing the distraction and immediately cutting it away.. because once a distraction takes place it takes 20 minutes for our mind to regain concentration back on a particular topic 3) In the modern world.. everyone (the consumers) wants the best of the best.. they reject the second best by a huge margin.. so to gain that edge over the others.. it's important to concentrate fully on your task. 4) concentration is a very enjoyable task.. it's called the flow state. 5) what you concentrate ON and how much you concentrate can a huge effect on your life.. one could concentrate on their problems and be miserable or one could concentrate on their work be in that flow state.

The ping of the phone can be just as dangerous as drugs, even more so sometimes. Not so openly visible as drugs, but dangerous nonetheless. Imagine a ‘ping’ on your phone, you reach for it. Phone drops, you try to pick it up to get that burst of dopamine and…BAM. You hit the car in front. The baby and mother die. This 'ping' leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. Very good lecture Swami Ji. Thank you for all your lectures.

Swami loves the analogy of bandwidth when discussing how quickly we can run out of it when talking to others. But do we not talk to ourselves? Are we not constantly arguing with different versions of ourselves too? It seems sometimes for every single noise the ear hears there are 5 the mind is presented via perception; one for imposition on each other sense at least, does this smell like something that reminds you of a sound? does the sound remind you of a smell etc etc - how much bandwidth does our internal dialogue consume?
