2:06 I'm definitely in the "all erectors, minimal lats" camp. I have a christmas tree at 20% BF under the right lighting, but almost no visible lats until closer to 10%.

Thanks for another interesting, and informative podcast. Kassem, certainly has a vast amount of knowledge, and insight geared towards optimal muscle hypertrophy etc. thanks for sharing this!

Thanks for an other solid video Abel, as you never dissappoint. I'm glad Kas is getting the exposure he deserves as hes def in a league of his own regarding biomechanics. Once again it's crazy that old school bodybuilders have been right all a long on things like ''building your lower lats'' ! Looking forward for part 2 :)

Would love to see the pictures on the screen while you are discussing certain bodybuilders. This was really awesome and I would love to see more of it.

Thanks for these videos with Kas! I would be interested in his views regarding weekly volume since he seems to recommend quite a lot of sets. I know they rotate it along with exercises so it's not constant, but still.

some gahs from doing lots of work that requires spinal stability and or extension have them thick python erectors bulging the lats out

Where’d you reach out to Kas to invite him on a podcast? I’m trying to do the same :)

You cannot change the appearance of your lat muscle's origin through exercise selection/execution - you can only grow within the confines of your anatomy. If that wasn't the case, all IFBB pros would literally changed their training to have a Dorian Yates-esque back. This is not the case.

Yes you cant change your muscle insertions, but you can emphasis specifc regions of the lat by varying your exercise selection. Current research shows region specific hypertrophy within the muscles due to exercise variation. So if you can do exercises to emphasize and grow your illiac lat fibres you will have a different look than someone who only does exercises that emphasizes his thoracic lat fibres.

@@nigeriannightmare4797you can definitely try, but do not be surprised when all the neutral spine pulldowns (neutral grip) do not magically extend your lat fibres down to your hips
