@@Creature1009 Yea I’m aware sadly but Tom is all about nuance and thinking. Not having a debate with someone just because you don’t like them sounds a little petty to me. Both him and Kassem are great people and their adults so a conversation of disagreements is a great way to drive thinking patterns and knowledge forward.

Could anyone explain to me the fallout between Paul and Kas?
@dualShockRK98
@dualShockRK98 6 ай бұрын
@@lightningarrow4486 Goes a long time ago, it started when Paul was sad his stolen content from KAS that he used in a lat debate on IG where he mentioned the lat leverage on a dumbbell pullover exercise, and then kas made a video which you have on youtube clarifing all points said by everyone but didnt really day that paul won the debate, cuz he didn't as tbh it wasn't quite a big debate 90% was agreement but there was debate about some small stuff where dr mike and paul had a different opinion but as per usual Paul lost his shit insulting everyone. Then a post about a tricep exercise happened where Kass was disagreeing with Paul about how much the long head of the tricep does shoulder extension, and then the final nail in the coffin was a traps debate where Kassem basically totally embarrased Paul scientifically imo and since then Paul has been team Chris Beardsley steals his content and says it in an angry way and blocking everyone that asks a question or disagrees with him.

Research is a joke. All the mocking and shade thrown at how bodybuilders and the bros have trained, and here we are 3 decades later just barely catching up. Brad Schoenfeld’s 45 set study (now debunked) was also a joke too.

@@ReviveStronger you don’t think that study confused many? Or misled…a bit short sided in the studies implications with the power Schoenfeld has in the community.
@ToraJutsu01

@@TypicallyUniqueOfficial studies tend to confuse people who aren’t scientifically literate. A study isn’t a commandment. It’s a new set of data with precursory literature review, a method, an analysis and a discussion to contextualise the findings. If you don’t realise that going in then you might think that you can just read the study and take it as gospel. Like what happened with coconut oil. One study showing a positive health outcome, everyone jumps the gun, then 9 more showing the opposite. But that’s not how science works at all. Research is amazing, its literally changed the entire scope of human history. But we still live in a world where people want simple answers so nuance is lost or assumed absent. Apologies if this comment comes across as brusque, it was written in a hurry.

How's it debunked. High volume still the same hypertrophy you just do a lot more sets than necessary. If working out is fun for you it won't matter.
@TypicallyUniqueOfficial
@TypicallyUniqueOfficial 11 ай бұрын
@@HeyIntegrity that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m specifically referring to the Schoenfeld study that showed 30+ sets was better than 20 and 20 was better than 10. They failed to take into account rest in between sets, making each set more effective. When training with higher intensities, you do not need the same level of volume. Higher volumes can work, but that study inferred more sets is automatically better when it should have stated you need to do more work with less rest to equate to a higher intensity moderate volume program.
