I followed all the precautions and still got the virus. I felt symptoms like fever, chest pain and body aches. I went to the ER and they sent me home saying it was something else and that I would be fine. They said I could not be tested since they could not admit me. I ended up coming home and quarantined myself from my husband. My husband was laid off so he was at home with me all day. He ended up contracting the virus. Before he could get tested he passed away from complications from the virus. We were together 15 years, so please take this gentleman story seriously. This virus is no joke.

Thank you all for the prayers, encouragement and well wishes. I tried to respond to comments but its getting hard to keep up. I won't be responding to any further comments. I have to move forward. Please see the FAQ below. I thank you and wish you safety and good health. I posted this video to let people know that I was going through this. I hope it this reminds people about COVID-19 and that people are still getting infected so precaution is still needed. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL POST. I did not post this to sway anyone's beliefs about this pandemic, nor frighten anyone. I hope this helps someone who has similar symptoms or has doubts if they could be impacted. It's not fake but there's no way to prove this I could share X-rays and paperwork but it wouldn't matter. You'd call that fake too. Please seek someone who has contracted it or lost someone and talk with them if you have doubts. If you don't know anyone then consider yourself lucky. Also, don't look to KZbin for medical advice, please seek help from professionals if you feel your health is at risk. FAQ -- I'm in Georgia I'm in my late 30s I work from home (I called off work to leave to get tested) I did not wear eye protection My mask was not n95 The antibiotics i mentioned (azithromycin) were to prevent infection of my pneumonia. It helped with the pain from pneumonitis. It does NOT treat the viral COVID infefection. I have had low vitamin D in the past, due to working from home for over a decade. I am not O blood type No Preconditions (I don’t smoke , I only drink at weddings etc) I have had the flu vaccine The test I mentioned in the video came back negative. The ER diagnosed positive for Coronavirus Infection I'm doing well now and my family is still safe. I have occasional chest pains but nothing more. I live in Metro Detroit, which has been another COVID 19 hotspot. We were # 3 in the country in number of cases/fatalities for awhile. But, the number of new cases and fatalities has gone way down the last week or so. We lost up to 160 folks/day at the peak of our pandemic, it's down to 5-10 now-still very unfortunate but vastly below where we were. Both my wife and I are over 65 and she has diabetes and pulmonary issues, so I do all the grocery shopping. That's about all we go out for now. After your video I'll be even more careful, can't let our guard down just because cases are coming down. Thanks for the video, Jason.

@BrOwN AnGeL Blessings to you, too. Sorry you and your daughter got it but you are certainly not alone. I read one article that said they expected 50 - 70% of the country to eventually get it. I didn't know Black people have different Covid symptoms. Everything I've been able to find so far seems to say that all different kinds of people are getting all different symptoms. The range of different symptoms is greater for this disease than much of what I've ever learned about before. There can also sometimes be a difference in symptoms with some diseases between men and women. An example is heart didease. It's only been in fairly recent years that separate research was done to understand better these differences. Sounds like you are doing all the right things to get better. Hope you and your daughter get better soon.

Rules? You can't hide from a virus, that's why now we are opening and cases are rising. Do a little research and learn about virology, forget what the idiots on the news are spreading with zero science. A virus gives no FKS about your rules. Our bodies live with countless virus and bacteria. It is meant to fight pathogens. Getting sick is your body doing it's job. A truly healthy immune system will stop the virus or fight it with no illness (asymptomatic). Stop fearing the virus and start fearing your dangerous diet/lifestyle, you may hide from corona in your house, but you won't hide from other diseases which will kill you eventually. It's up to you. I'll stick to my healthy lifestyle, hit the gym as my body allows and all the other dirty things out there, lol, keep building my immune system, and trust my body to do it's job. And btw, I have 20 years CFS from a virus that was CRIPPLED me for weeks. What that virus didn't do is scare me out of wanting to LIVE, quite the opposite, it made me appreciate life. CFS has forced me to be at home more than not, google CFS and see how many people are dying to get out of their homes, no one is trying to stay inside until it's safe outside. Every second that I have where I can leave the bed, leave the house is a gift. I rather die quickly while doing than through a slow death locked down in my bed. Staying home is a slow, ugly, nasty, depressing, death sentence. I don't watch tv, I don't eat McDonalds, I don't eat processed food, I don't smoke, I rarely have alcohol. Working on my health is the #1 priority in my life, moving, being out, exercising, hugging others, that is what life is about, I'm not scared of getting sick-"er", bring it on, the more pathogens my body attacks, the stronger my immune system is. NOTHING GREAT in life comes without risk. NOTHING!

@utewbing This is true, what kills people is a panic attach. The fear of the virus goes to convince your mind that you have a virus. The virus is going to kill u! You gonna suffer from difficulty in breathing then your mind register all the symptoms that u heard about related to covid 19. After all registration then the body responds, u start experiencing all those symptoms., if your immunity is strong will be able to fight those fallacious mental disorders but should your immunity fails to fight then u become critical ill with those symptoms. so you rather stay home for the rest of your life than get your health in order so that you can LIVE without fear, knowing you are guaranteed survival? My god, this is the problem. You think avoiding this particular virus is it? How about every other form or illness and death? How will you avoid those? Not getting takeout is a great practice, restaurant food isn't exactly the healthiest, but if does you no good if you're not eating clean. I can tell ya, people eating clean are not scared of takeout or leaving their houses. Only you know your diet/lifestyle choices. And only you will either be rewarded or punished depending on how you treat your body.
@julianachandler29754 жыл бұрын
Maria N : first, you make way too many assumptions about things you know not of. Second, do some research, some people who “eat clean” are getting this virus. I’m a big believer in healthy eating, but I know enough to know that it doesn’t cure everything. Many people have pre existing conditions through no fault of their own. You shouldn’t be so judgmental. I didn’t tell you not to eat out. I simply said that I didn’t. Your anger is misplaced.
@someoneusa4 жыл бұрын
@@julianachandler2975 Who cares about getting the virus? Did I say you can't get the virus? Man, it sucks that me saying we should be healthy and realize this is the solution to overcoming illness, rather than having fear of everything and quitting life, sounds like I'm being judgmental It's about surviving the virus or illness or whatever else in life comes your way, not needing to be in ICU on a vent, not needing to be locked up. What assumption did I make? Judgmental of who? I don't care what anyone does, I was very clear, you want to be in fear, be in fear. Having a preexisting condition does not force someone to live in fear, nor does it mean they are unhealthy. I have preexisting conditions, they have nothing to do with my actual health, they don't define me, they INSPIRE me to be better and grab life by the horns. Your diet, your life, your choice, your responsibility, all I can do is try to encourage people to get rid of fear and work on their health. The fact that you are triggered tells me, well, let me stick with not making assumptions. I made a general statement that not eating out is only a good practice if what one eats at home is clean. I rarely eat out, but it's not because I'm scared, it's because it's junk. Eating out is a treat, not a way of life. Everything I stated is based on the truth. I research all the time and am in a physical therapy program with a 4.0. We all live with environmental toxins, the only thing you can do is take care of your health so that your body can get your through it. Everyone gets sick, everyone. Feel free to pick my brain and you will be SHOCKED by how educated I am. I am now my own doctor. It's the reason I am overcoming CFS after 20 years, CKD with kidney atrophy given to me by my doctors prescribing NSAIDS and dismissing my crippling pelvic pain as normal. I'm 48, took 30 years of hell to learn I had endometriosis, that was 3 years ago- those 2 things have led to a host of disease despite a lifetime of health and fitness. Pituitary tumor, no doubt due to unresolved inflammation, hypothyroid, autoimmune disease, interstitial cystitis. It's all documented on insta and soon a youtube channel. I inspire tons of people. If you don't believe me, maria_c_negron, I'll be 49 in September, I look under 35, my body is leaner and I'm stronger than the majority of young people and I'm going to be competing in powerlifting. I am one of the strongest women for my age in the nation, possibly the world, my pre-existing conditions are not an excuse :) THIS IS WHAT GOOD HEALTH BUYS. It's a sad state we are in when everyone is so terrified that they are willing to give up living.

Thank you for making this video. It really reinforces my belief that I'm right to continue to turn down invitations from friends to go out. It's so tempting to think it's safe enough with everything opening up. When friends ask how long I plan to stay home, the question alone seems to imply that I'm being ridiculous. But when I compare the "cost" of staying home to the "cost" of getting this virus, it seems like a no brainer.
@chellybabyme4 жыл бұрын
@loriar1027 It IS a no-brainer. My boyfriend is pressuring me. I told him I'm going to go ahead and keep my own personal body safe if you don't want to join me in that quest to keep distant from people then I'll have to see fit to do with my own personal body what is right.

How does it seem like a no brainer. No economy = lack of jobs = lack of money = loss of housing and health insurance = being out on the street = catching a whole lot more of whatever's out there. I only want to hear from people who've lost their income on this comment and get their views on what it is they plan to do after unemployment is up.

My experience: in may I started getting weird chills. On April 2nd I started feeling chest pains. It was from my panic attacks mostly. I have a history of panic attacks and ever since this pandemic started my panic attacks started getting worse. I worry a lot. Anyways on April 6 I started feeling this weird pain all over my chest. It would travel to my back and rib cage. I complained to my mother. I knew something was wrong but she told me don’t go and to stay home it’s just my panic attack. then 2 days later my pain got worse. I started getting weird chills. Body aches. So on April 10 I took a trip to the emergency room. The doctor ask me have u ever felt this pain before I told him this pain I never felt before and I knew it wasn’t coming from my panic attacks. So he took EKG and X-rays of my chest. He came back 15 minutes later and said I have pneumonia and it was spreading. He said it’s covid-19 related because he see’s result like this. So he gave me antibiotics for the pneumonia and send me home. I couldn’t get tested because at that time it was hard to get tested and emergency room didn’t test everyone. Only people who was admitted. So anyways Whatever I had I beat it. one month later I found a place that does testing. I got my results back it came back negative. then one week later I took a antibody test. It came back negative. Then a few weeks after I went to another place to take another swap test (they put something in your nose) it came back negative. So then a month later my father started experiencing symptoms like me. he didn’t wanna go to the hospital. after weeks of not listening he got sicker. His chest pains were getting worse and back pain. One morning I woke up and notice he was having trouble breathing and walking. I knew he had the virus. That look on his face. He went 4 weeks without going to the emergency room. So then he finally went to the ER. Then he got admitted. He was put on the ventilator. They did testing and he testing positive. His kidneys started to failed. His liver started to fail. His lungs collapsed. The virus was destroying his immune system. It creates blood clots and he couldn’t get pressure to his feet and arms. His hands and feet was turning into gangrene. So he was on life support, the doctors couldn’t save him so he passed away. I saw him 4 times before he passed. I lost my father because of this virus. my father was hard headed so he didn’t listen to us. If he went to the ER sooner they could have stopped his pneumonia from spreading. That’s what killed him, he had pneumonia and didn’t know it. After my father died I got tested again and took another antibody test and both came back negative. To be honest I don’t know if I had covid but I’m assuming I did because never in my life I had pneumonia. I feel like if they would have offered testing at the emergency room I could have found out my real diagnosis because it was too late to test for covid, I took multiple x-rays to make sure the pneumonia was gone and it was. So that’s my story. if anyone made it this far reading my comment please take care of yourself and if you feel chest pains go to the ER. Don’t be like my dad who didn’t listen.

I know some people are going to say "he wore a mask and still got the virus, mask don't work!!!" It's not because it doesn't work, it's because the people around him didn't wear masks when he was out. A lot of people can't grasp the concept in this case wearing mask protects people around you and other people that wear mask protects you. Even that's not guaranteed, but base on the last 3 months of study social distancing lowers the chances. When people around each other wears face mask while social distancing, the chance of spreading the virus is even more slim. Notice keywords is "slim" and "not guaranteed" in my comment. BTW the virus can spread through the eyes as well, wear glasses or goggles if possible too to lower the chances even more.
@TheDeglmanFamilyFarm4 жыл бұрын
So therefore it doesn't work. Can't force others to wear a mask even if you protect yourself.
@michaelchu16024 жыл бұрын
We're talking about "works" as in lowering the probability of spreading the virus. One person wears it while the other doesn't is still better than none. People can argue how mask are bad for you, which I know about and agree with. Just gotta find the right balance, but I realize it's easier said than done by everyone. Check out this simulation with many difference scenarios and probabilities added into place. kzbin.info/www/bejne/namkkoJop9iXf9U

Also the ears.. full hazmat suit is the only way to go. If you’ve ever seen a video of viruses being traced & spread in a room by blacklight. It’s nearly impossible to stop without the right equipment. I know a lot of people who refuse to get the vaccine when it releases. This virus isn’t going to magically disappear & it is going to run it’s course on the population whether you like it or not. That’s my only defense on why people don’t wear masks, because they know it’s just a matter of time.

Scott Jarry Do exactly what you say: use the brain God gave you. God does not like stupid carelessness or negligence, so please, listen to science because, contrary to what you believe, science does work sometimes. And God did put Doctors and scientists on this earth to help humanity, ok? Science does not necessarily preclude God, ok?
@michaelchu16024 жыл бұрын
@Scott Jarry I'm genuinely curious, why do you believe that? Is it cause you believe the virus is fake? Do you know how big the virus is? Do you know the smallest particles n95 and surgical mask can block? What are your sources? Are you saying that it doesn't work because it doesn't completely stop the virus? Do you have any evidence to show that it doesn't work?

A Prayer for Coronavirus Victims and A Message to All Dear Father in Heaven, please give salvation, comfort, strength, and hope to all who mourn the passing of the deceased and heal the sick (according to Your blessed will and purpose O God). In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ Your blessed and holy Son. Thank You dear God. Amen. Dear ones, please repent and surrender to Christ so that you can be saved from God's Wrath and inherit eternal life. The blessed Lord shall soon return. Amen. God is calling the world to turn from sin and follow Jesus Christ. Amen. God is Not Trying to Save The World He's Trying to Save You Many people are missing the entire point of the disasters that God is sending to Earth. The Hurricanes, the tornadoes, the earthquakes, the typhoons, the cyclones, the tsunamis, and why He's allowing the wars and rumours of wars to happen: These are all signs of the end times, my friend, and God is not trying to save this world, but He's trying to save you out of the world. He's trying to save you so that you can be ready when Jesus Christ returns because God is going to destroy this world and make a new one. So quit trying to be so ready for things to get back to normal because if one thing goes away, God is going to send something else to get people's attention. Many people who saw 9/11 died in Hurricane Katrina. Many people who saw Katrina died in the Las Vegas mass shooting. Many people saw what happened in Puerto Rico died of the Coronavirus. Folks, there are things that God is trying to wake up the world with so the world can realize that God is in charge and serve Him because He's coming back. He's not playing. The worst thing you can experience is eternal damnation in Hell. So quit thinking it's business as usual. Your Sin business should be over. It's time to serve the Lord! Amen. I just student taught this past semester in Ohio. I was at the second largest music education conference (OMEA PD 2020) in the country at the very end of January. I started showing some flu like symptoms, coughing, vomiting, pink eye, body aches, couldn’t breath very well which made our very important performances very difficult to do (Playing the saxophone while dying isn’t fun...) Now I think I picked it up either when the group I was performing with was in Virginia for the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium earlier in January or shortly thereafter that next week back student teaching and then I started showing symptoms during that state conference at the end of January. interestingly enough, that week back after the Ohio conference, entire school districts were shutting down because so many people had a flu like illness... I was very sick and I missed about a week at the beginning of February. It’s been confirmed that COVID has been around for a lot longer than March. I would like to get tested to see if I ended up having it.

@@Positiveenergy68 You are right about the 80%. I wish the media would focus more attention on that fact and interview the people who had mild cases. While everyone should be careful, the media focuses only the worst cases and has created too much panic. The other thing many don't realize is that it was very hard to get tested un NY at the height of the pandemic. Several doctors have said 90% of cases were not tested. So if you multiply the number of reported cases by 10, it brings the death rate to 0.25 percent and the serious illness rate to 2 percent--not to negate the suffering of people in those smaller groups. I DID test positive for antibodies. But I don't know what percentage of people are taking the antibody test and if those numbers will be added to the total number of cases. If you DO take an antibody test, make sure it is the Mt. Sinai one. I don't know if is available nationwide, but it is the most effective. A positive is 98% accurate and a negative is 90%+ accurate.

Did anyone consider that never leaving the house and wearing a mask constantly lowers your immune system? Which makes you more likely to pick up a virus. Also the masks don't stop a virus from passing through it is medically proven. Also I heard people with type A blood are more likely to have bad symptoms if they get it
@latishamitchell524 жыл бұрын
@@LuckyW23 True. I think what the mask was supposed to do, was to help SLOW the spread of it. They already said that the mask is really to contain the droplets of someone who has the virus so that THEY won't spread it to others. The issue is that people have it and don't know they have it, so they are going out without covering their mouths and noses and they are spreading it. You are also correct about the eyes. You can get it through the proteins of your eyes when touching your eyes and if an infected person is close enough to you for their particles to land on your eyes.
@LuckyW234 жыл бұрын
Latisha Mitchell I don’t think it’s worth it for employees to be wearing masks all day long. They’re lowering their immune systems and making them more of a risk of getting sick. It’s becoming more apparent that asymptomatic people rarely spread the virus and it’s people who are pre symptomatic which only lasts a day or two along with when they’re sick. Seems like only people with symptoms or starting to feel unwell should otherwise we’re doing more harm than good imo. Lots of misinformation regardless WHO is hard to trust
@rjones1974 жыл бұрын
@@LuckyW23 I wonder how all the doctors and nurses survive, wearing N95's all day long, if masks have the effect you state. Can you post some links to where you obtained your opinion? I feel that wearing masks do not lower your immune system if they are clean and properly cycled. What they do do is make sure you don't transmit the virus to others, and give you a fighting chance to not have a serious case if you come into contact with viral shedders.

Im a caregiver so I checked in with the doctors and im cleared. I was feeling not myself so I drove myself to the emergency. I was feeling tired, a lil anxiety, exhausted, some upper body discomfort. I was exercising also like u. But no COVID-19. Praying God that im good. So if anyone think or maybe feeling something wrong with ur body please don't hesitate to go to ur primary care physician and get checked out. Don't let it or whatever get u down. Detect early. Get ahead start. Praying for everyone to stay safe. And we can beat this, in Jesus name.

Staying at home is probably doing more harm than good, since your not being exposed to as many pathogens as you would be on a daily basis if you were going out, you are actually weakening your immune system.

Please don’t them scare you if you are God fearing why should you be scared of a lie satan is trying get you to believe they are selling fear by bullshit numbers it’s the flu that it people die every year from the flu and the country never has been shut down and when your living in fear your more in risk of disease and ailments this a agenda

@@serugpharoah9719 So you are saying that everyone will catch it anyway at some point? So the elderly with pre-existing conditions and other vulnerable or otherwise healthy people should just die sooner? Cut your religious bullshit and believe the facts. @@MikeGrahamDSM I think what he is trying to say is that there has been so much fear put into this and causing problems, which shouldnt be problems. That with all this fear being promoted that the actual numbers are inflated to induce more fear. He is also comparing it to the flu and saying the flu and its similar numbers but we dont see a shut down and all this mask stuff. As for my reaction to his comments, he has a valid point. People in my mind dont question enough or figure out whats best for them. I personally believe we shouldnt live in fear. It causes so many problems. We should be mindful, aware and understanding. We have none of that from the media.

Both my parents have had covid 19. Both mid 50’s. Both recovered in 1-2 weeks at home. Mom symptoms: Sore throat, runny nose, slight cough. Dads symptoms: fatigue, dry cough, fever Make sure to exercise, drink lots of water, eat healthy (include lots of Vit D3!). Avoiding an invisible virus is difficult, make sure to stay healthy to have a strong immune system when you do contract the virus.
