I can definitely relate to you curly hair journey right now I am still struggling to stop using heat in my hair and even though I leave it curly most of the time my hair just doesn't look its best because I am still using heat. You inspire me to just take away the heat for good so I can learn to love my natural hair❤

That’s all I can hope to do ❤️ it’s worth all the rough hair days and days you’re fed up and want to go back to the straightener! Trust me, stick to it! All the best 🥰

Your hair is stunning! I grew up with straight hair and always wanted curly (now I’m discovering it’s wavy) but we all want what we can’t have.

My mom never really took care of my hair growing up and it's funny because my hair was wavy and her hair was curly. All she would do was brush it dry and she would literally pull and yank my hair. It's been about a year since I have been wearing my natural hair. I can't wait to see how much my hair can get better

my mum hates my natural hair even goes as far to tell me to make my hair 'natural' again referring to when she would blow dry and straighten it. its honestly so sad we argue bout it regularly. and shes a hairdresser but they never taught about curly hair. i find it so crazy cuz genetically, almost all iraqis have naturally curly hair but if u look at all my aunties and cousins and pretty much everyone in my hometown has this mad frizzy hair after showering but routinely wrap it in a towel and straighten it or heat curl it for parties and stuff. its so sad honestly. my hair is a bit looser than urs im still in the process of transition but there is the maddest difference since bug chopping it at end of December 2020 and ill continue to repeat my arguments with my mum till she gets it 😂

I’m so sorry to hear that! I definitely understand to an extent, growing up my big frizzy hair was “unpresentable” that’s why my mum would never let my hair be loose. It was always tied up somehow. But truthfully that’s because she didn’t even know you have to take care of curly hair differently. But keep going figure out your hair and in the process if she’s open to it you can teach her as you learn. Curly hair is very difficult to understand and work with because there are so many types but it’s is beyond beautiful. And I hope your mum sees that soon!

I have wavy to curly hair myself and my mother wouldn't even let me use conditioner when I was little, she said it harms my hair 😂 and I was DESPERATE because it was such a mess and it always hurt so bad when I tried to comb it, until I was like 11 and I finally disregarded my mother and bought my first bottle of conditioner and I never had the same problems again 😂

Great video, really helpful! What type of curl to you have? I think I've same type of curl as you. Iwant to start my journey too. Similar story to you, my gran would braid my hair every morning ,spray it with water but use a fine tooth comb. Then I found a hairdresser to help me "deal with" my hair which was to chemically relax followed by curling again with loose curl rollers prob every 6mths to 1yr.. I would use product for a couple weeks after then do nothing. last time was towards the end of 2019. hair is a frizzy wreck & the hair at the back is no curl &so dry! Usually let my hair air dry & I've never used a hairdryer as my hair would just fuzz! Would you recommend hair drying at the beginning or should I invest in a diffuser now? unsure if this would be considered as applying heat. Thanks for reading if you got this far 😆

I would recommend you get a diffuser because it helps with volume. It takes a few tries to get used to it though. I will make a video on my full diffuser routine ;) and it technically it is using heat however many have settings to use low heat or no heat at all!

So beautiful! 😍 I want to start my journey as well and I know the first step is to cut off all the damaged, colored parts of my hair 🥺 but at this point length doesn’t matter when my hair is dry and brittle! Do you have any recommendations on products to start with?! Also any curly hair support groups you like from Facebook?! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️

Honestly all the products in my first video, my curly hair routine and my top 10 product video are still my go to products!!! #1 get a moisturizing conditioner!! I don’t know any support groups but that’s cool I should look into them lol
