Your story is mine as well! I just started my curly hair journey a few weeks ago so I'm still learning. When I saw my friends and gym mates, they were all saying "wow" I can't believe this is your hair. They tease me about wearing a curly wig. I really appreciate all of these You Tube views to help me learn new products and techniques. I have never had so many compliments on my hair!

@@karinacurls 2nd day hair is my challenge right now. Your hair is much like mine in texture and curl. I must confess sometimes I just pick up the curling iron to nudge the curls in and frizz out. Do you have a video addressing 2nd day and on hair?

Beautiful. I straightened my hair for half my life and I’m going to be 52 next week…. Stopped using straighteners at the end of July and really trying hard to do only good things to my hair now to encourage back my curls. Before I straightened my hair I just thought I had naturally unmanageable frizzy unruly hair so I was glad when hair straighteners were invented - but now I’m like wow I wish I had tried embracing curls years ago. Once I got my hair cut fairly short at university in my early 20s and that stylist brought out my natural curls so I looked like I had had a perk but being the early 90s and no internet I did not know what to do after that and was super busy at uni so I probably coulda done this many years ago 😂 still - no time like the present and at least I have still got my strawberry blond hair haha 😂

Thank you for sharing your curly hair journey. Its also been two years for me since I started wearing my curly hair natural and im still learning and trying new products. Can you plse sharing your favourite shampoo and conditioner you recommend? Did you take any hair vitamins to help it grow? 💕

That’s amazing, I honestly can’t believe it’s been two years! So we are curly hair sisters!:) That’s a great topic for a next video! I have many shampoos I rotate between, I think I have about 10😅 But my favourites at the moment are Briogeo Scalp revival - for clarifying and Briogeo superfoods shampoo and conditioner. I also think Maui moisture is a great drugstore shampoo option. I’ve also been loving Olaplex purple shampoo, as I have blond highlights. It’s clarifying but also conditioning! I only wash my hair once a week so often I use deep conditioners instead of regular conditioners, I like Briogeo rice amino + avocado mask and Curlsmith deep quencher or multi-tasking conditioner with protein. For regular conditioners I turn to Maui or Briogeo:) I’ll make a video on my fav shampoos, conditioners and masks! I also really want to try Innersense and Bounce Curl products:)

@@karinacurls i would love a vidoe on your favourite shampoo's and conditioners/deep conditioners 😍 I also wash my hair once a week sometimes twice if I have something on and want my curls to be perfect. To be honest my day one curls are the best and look full and frizz free by day two my hair has dropped and curls never look as good bo matter how hard I try on wash day which literally takes me a good hour to perfect wash day! my hair is prone to frizz but I think its cause it is long and fine. I need to invest in a satin hair bonet I think that will make a big difference!!

@@sallyelphick3136 I will definitely do a video on my favourite products and on how I keep my curls looking fresh for 6-7days (doesn’t always happen but I try haha)! My hair is super prone to frizz too, so I do what I can but also I just embrace it , because you can never be 100% frizz free haha, so might as well embrace it:) it what makes our curls curl and gives us volume!

So getting highlights doesn’t ruin your curls at all?
@karinacurls6 күн бұрын
It will definitely still affect your hair, but with the right preparations before and treatments/maintenance after you can restore your curls and protect them as much as possible :)
