People need to understand that slavery is as old as civilization itself. For some reason so many believe the initiated onset of slavery as a 250-300 year period in the South of Colonial America branded by the Caucasian race. Slavery dates back all the way to the ancient Babylonian Dynasty with the first records of human slavery being of King Hammurabi and his absolutely horrific code of law . Greece followed suit with their ruthless enslavement of the Portuguese; petsistantly the malignancy of the slave trade has left no continent, or skin colors of humans untouched to this very day. Pakistan, China,Bangladesh are just a few countries where slavery is alive and well. In fact the global slave index is somewhere in the numbers of 50-65million and on the rise. Slavery is about power vs. poverty. Most slave trades have been about taking advantage of a geographical region with not an ounce of pigment in mind but the targeting of impoverished cultures. Slavery is inhumanely opportunistic not typically racially biased. Every " race" if you will, that have ever walked the earth, have at some point done so in shackles.

I was born in a poor family in ky and I've was always taught to judge a person on their character and not their skin color. And that's how ive lived my life. I've been around the world in the USMC and have seen oppression in every country. I don't understand why people see them selves better than anyone else. Its insane. Being white and coming from a racist family, I have seen that it is definitely something that is taught. I was taught to think certain things about each other race. Luckily I was able to see through those ignorant teachings and develop my own opinions. It is a cycle I fear will never completely end. All we can do as humans is treat all people equally. I had a black friend in highschool that really helped me see through my believes when I was younger. He said imagine you are driving down the road, and the car in front of you goes off the road and starts flipping. You pull over and run out to help. Then he said would you have worried about if they were black, white, gay, straight ect... Then he told me that if I didn't care who that person was in that situation, then why would I care any other time. It really hit me that it's so ignorant to judge someone based on anything other than there character. Thank you for reacting to these kind of videos. Keep the love!
