My dad is out of the picture. I don't know if hes alive or dead but before I got married my husband asked my pastor growing up who became like my father if he could have my had in marriage. Prior before that My husband and i were talking about marriage and all that entails and i said if he wants to take the next step, he has to ask for my hand in marriage. Now if my mom was alive then he would have asked her but my mom died in 2016. My pastor said that most boys don't ask the fathers for their daughters hand in marriage anymore. This was 6 years ago.
