Just wanted to say I listened to the audio book version of Shad's book and was very impressed not just by the writing, but the narration. I really enjoyed it, and of course it's not perfect (no book is), but I found it very enjoyable. I especially enjoy how he doesn't push female characters to the side and fleshes them out. In fantasy books such as Lord of the Rings, female characters often don't get much "screen time". I look forward to future books and where his writing takes him.

I believe I bought the physical copies of Shad's books. I'm super excited! Hopefully I'll get them in the mail soon. I also love Tolkien's works of course, and even though Jackson's awesome films gave more screen time to the women, the trilogy he directed also certainly made Arwen less mature and made Faramir seem like a huge jerk.

If you ever come to visit Spain I would recommend the following castles: Loarre Olite Belmonte Segovia Coca Calatrava la Nueva Almodóvar del Río La Mota Oropesa Santa Catalina Alhambra There are more, but I think the list is already long enough. There's also Turégano, which is a castle built around a church.

I don't understand how so many people in this comment section can't understand that all people of European ancestry have a connection to the middle ages, both in Australia and the U.S. History didn't happen in a vacuum. Everything that happened impacted the events that came after. Medieval Europe is when the powerful monarchies came into being allowing for the later wealth and resources that enabled them to colonize the two continents as well as the rest of the world. The colonial era is a time in history that still directly impacts the world today, most notably in race relations between people in their own countries much less international relations. All history is connected to the present, if someone hadn't invented the pottery wheel over ten thousand years ago we wouldn't have computers to watch YT videos on.

I had a band back in the day that semi "made" it locally. You are very good with your fans. So many don't realize how much it can mean to someone to just stop and thank your fans.
