DayZ 0.63 gameplay recorded on the stress test branch. Some scenes around cities might have stuttering issues, I bought a new GPU (GTX 1060) specifically for DayZ and recording so future videos should hopefully be much better regarding the quality and frame rate. Thanks for watching.

0.63 is out so I am excited to finally be back after taking a break, sorry it took me so long. There's still some features missing but with the most recent update the game finally got to a point where it was worth making a video out of it, here's some of my first impressions, hope you enjoy it. (I have some personal stuff / some of my thoughts on the channel I wanted to share, prepare for a wall of text) Quite recently I had an amazing opportunity to work as a video editor abroad, I went through the recruitment process, surprisingly enough everything seemed to go pretty well, long story short, after weeks of talks I've received the final assignment, it only supposed to be a draft, I was told to not take it too seriously. Personally I thought as long as I would deliver something decent on time showing that I am capable of doing such things (in the time frame provided) it would all go well. Coupled with the fact that they actually spent quite a lot of time to talk with me and send me some stuff, I had my doubts, but still, was very optimistic about the whole thing. After finishing the video and waiting 2 weeks for response, finally we arranged the call. It has been reviewed by 3 different people, they couldn't decide on the final decision. Some things they liked but in the end they came to the conclusion that it wasn't necessarily what they were looking for. Apparently they wanted to have everything right from the get go (even if it was only a draft, made without much preparation in less than a week) I can't go into details, but that was probably the only opportunity I had for this kind of job in the near future and now it's gone. In hindsight, I definitely could've done some things more efficiently, maybe that was the main reason for the final decision. I wonder what would they think if I made it differently at that time, can't get it out of my head really. It wasn't about money, more about moving out, having a chance to improve, meeting like-minded people and working with professionalists. I really got the impression I was the right guy for that job until the last call, I respect their decision, but it's hard to move on. I am back to reality, stuck here, working a regular 9-5 job, which means it's also hard to find time to play, especially edit. I love making videos, the amazing feedback from all of you around the world (I even had some guys messaging me from South Korea) keeps me thinking about this. At the same time the routine of a job makes me miserable at times, it's nothing I really like doing or something that would get me in the direction I want to go. The whole situation made me reevaluate everything I've done up to this point. It seems like I am just really lucky having people watching, sometimes I wonder what made this channel any good (or if it's even worth to continue), it's certainly not me, most likely the people I meet and interactions I have. This brings me to my second point - As you can see I can be inconsistent, most of the time it's because I am afraid you will get bored or the vid won't meet your guys' expectations. The break now was mostly because of that job offer and how it turned out, I kinda lost motivation, DayZ was stagnant so that didn't help either. What I would like to do is simplify some things, make more shorter videos, ideally a new video every week or two at some point. The update is finally out, it's really exciting, so I would like to post more frequently. As much time as it takes sometimes I still do it because I love it. There might be some longer videos, or even a series down the road (all depends on what's going to happen) but these will certainly take much longer to release. At the same time I would really like to take youtube kinda as a secondary thing. I just want to post a video and not care about the numbers hoping that the algorithm would recommend it. When you're only focusing on numbers and your income (which still isn't that great here, let's be honest) you're making yourself kinda dependent on these things and the more often you post, the content gets worse over time. I'd like every video to be decent enough, not a #154 twitch highlight squad wipe compilation, not saying my videos are 10/10, but I really try my best to make each one of them stand out. So this is my situation - I am basically torn apart, trying to figure out how to completely not waste my life, while doing this, playing games, watching videos / streams / tv shows, browsing the internet to get out of that every day routine. But I guess that's why we all do it at the end of the day, to have fun and forget about real life problems. It's just hard to cope with some things now, I am here in some shit hole in Poland with the internet barely capable of uploading anything. To put it into perspective the shipwreck video took me ~14 hours to upload (one of the main reasons why I am not so keen on uploading longer videos so often) I had a chance to move to a better place, but I fucked it all up. Sadly I can't do anything about it anymore, life goes on and sometimes you gotta start over. I am not writing this to get any sympathy, there's so many people in similar or worse situation, honestly I just need an advice. I am sick of being in the same place for the past 21 years, without any perspectives. As sad as it sounds I feel like I don't have any life purpose, I always try to improve and have some goal to work towards, but that hasn't been the case for the last several months. I was thinking about saving up some money and moving abroad to take a course / start studying something related to video editing, not necessarily now, but maybe around this time next year. You always hear that traveling helps a lot to get in the right state of mind, I feel like I need that, but at the same time I don't want to make a choice that I would regret in the future. I was also thinking if it wouldn't be better to learn most of the stuff myself (but still move out and look for a job meanwhile) It's hard to find anything decent here in regards to what I would like to do, there's not that many opportunities and if there is one it usually isn't really worth the time and money. If you have anything valuable to say, send me a private message or share some of your "life stories" in the comment section, should be interesting to get some perspective. I always read every single comment so maybe this time I will learn something at least. I know no one cares about some random dude on the internet, and I don't expect anything, but at the end of the day you watch the videos and there's a lot more smarter people here than me. I thought it wouldn't hurt trying to ask for some opinion at least. I didn't want to include it in the video, because I make these mostly for entertainment purposes, not for you to listen to me rambling for god knows how long. I hope this sends a message across well enough. I don't really know what the future holds for this channel, just wanted to be open about everything. I've been stuck in the same thoughts for the better part of this year, let's hope going back to making videos / doing something creative will help make me feel less depressed. Hopefully some of you could relate at least while reading this. Thanks for taking the time to get through it all. Take care.

PolishedGuy don't be so depressed. We all love your vids so please keep it up. Your personal life should be always more important than this channel so if you think you want to learn and improve yourself then take your time and go somewhere where you can do what you really love.

PolishedGuy as someone who has been down on his luck time and time again I can only say that for some people life seems to find a way to keep knocking you down. Find a reason to keep going and stick with it. If you have ambitions dont give up on them. Been through hell and back but I am still here, even though some days I wish I wasnt. Giving up is not an option though. Not yet for me anyways. Take care.

PolishedGuy, you obviously have great editing skills, but more importantly a really artistic eye (timing of shots, transitions, effects). Think outside the box man. Hire a decent camera and make a video for your tourism board (Poland has tourists?), Even at a local level. It's not hard to imagine one of your dayz videos as a tourist video (with less gunfights maybe - dunno - what's Poland like these days?) Or on a more commercial level talk to some real estate companies about making feature videos of up market listings. Your 'style' would translate easily into quick informative (sale able) videos. You have skills in an area where companies have to market themselves

Hey mate, first of all I've been watching .63 videos to get an opinion on how it actually is and if I'm going to like it or not... well your video was everything I wanted to see! No wait, it's everything everyone wanted to see. You've shown us gameplay, firefights, playerinteractions, new stuff and places, etc. And all that with great editing as always and I hope you keep this thing with the text and music going instead of using voice-over because this creates an awesome atmosphere the people here just LOVE!!!! You don't just do like "this is how nwa looks like now, this looks like that, etc. You make an adventure showing us new stuff!! So PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING AND NEVER STOP BECAUSE YOU ARE AWESOME AT IT!! About the comment you made: we watch the video mostly because of the editing and guess what, that means we watch it because what you do with it or in other words: we watch it because it's you who made it!!! I like reading comments and yours are mostly "Yes, new video!!" Or "Yes, the king is back!!" XD the people here including me just love you man!! About the rest of your comment: I can relate. I'm 20 years old and still a student but f*ck I don't know who I am, in what I'm good at or what I am supposed to do.. I recently quit learning to be a teacher and changed to doing ICT but no idea if I'm going to like it or going to be good at it. The thing is surviving in DayZ is easier than surviving in this world. I don't know what to do. I don't always like who I am or how I am but I can't give up on the people I love so.. I guess I am just another person trying to survive... Keep your head up mate, keep fighting and never give up! We are survivors...

This is always the best content. you are truly a one of a kind when it comes to this I don't know how many people actually put this much effort into anything they do. You have a passion for it and I would love to see more of these kinds of videos. They motivate people like me to actually play Dayz usually I just watch some vids and get bored but there's an anticipation factor in your vids which (at least for me) keeps me watching until the very end wondering what's about to happen. As for the long wall of a text you got a lot of grit and determination if any company doesn't see that then screw em I've been there before it isn't easy. However I managed to get an even better job than I had before and they came to me in particular. Only because they knew past information etc. I'm sure if you got into video editing as a career someone would see your passion and hire you 110%. Not many people are like you anymore which makes you unique. Anyways I could carry on all day but love to see you back on Dayz again looking forward to future content!

Damn, the new buildings and game mechanics (ESPECIALLY being able to fit rifles and larger carbines like the M4A1 in packs) make this game seem a hell of a lot different! That’s not to say it’s a bad thing: it’s different for the better, and I love it. One day, once I have a functioning computer again (my old one is bricked, sadly), I’m going to hop back onto this game and try out the new stuff.
