Sonequa Martin-Green should have more leading roles. Hollywood force feeds bad actors and movies to us daily, and yet I have to randomly come across this trailer to find what looks like a gem, with a great cast.

I will never forgive the producers of Star Trek Discovery for what they did to this woman, took a great concept/idea... Put her in it.. then got cold feet half way through and essentially dragged her through the wringer of bad writing bad characterisation bad wigs and on set racism, while she had to go out and face the brunt of internet ICWs whining about "wokeness" in star trek of all things.. idk how she came through that godawful experience with her sanity intact .but I will always remember her for her touching walking dead performances and I hope she has a fulfilling career going forward

It took me from 1970 when I came home until 2016 to realize there were reasons people thought I was an "ass hole". The PC term is PTSD. The reality is low self-esteem, survivor guilt, rage at abuse of power, and shutting people out so it doesn't hurt if they leave. 8 years later I can most often pas as normal. This looks trailer pretty close to real. My dead friends are Lenny and Teach. I finally realized they didn't blame me, I did. MDFZ looks like something vets and family can both benefit from when trying to deal with our own issues, and those of your vet friend, spouse or parent. C1-6, 2-47 Inf, RVN 69/70

Not a military man but the survivor's guilt truly did me in (for me its my twin sister and my mom) and I'm still not fully out of the woods. The guilt is easier to manage but everything else is still just as heavy. I never thought I'd forget they were gone but it happens more often than I'd like to admit. Here's hoping for continued peace and prosperity for you.
@yevgeniyaleshchenko8492 ай бұрын
''PC term is PTSD'' - it's not a ''pc term'', it's a scientific term aka medical diagnosis and what you described are just some of symptoms/expressions. Also, speaking about vets - please remember that there is war in Ukraine right here and now, show some compassion to our Soldiers and veterans people. Finally, show compassion to people with other mental disorders because we are as isolated and lonely and invisible as you are, only even less people talk about/pay attention us.

Look at this, miss Green can act when she's given a proper script. In this trailer, green shows a wider array of mannerisms and emotions than she did on 5 seasons of Star Trek Discovery. Just goes to show that no matter how good the actor, they can't make gold out of bad writing.
