The stages of grief are sure...shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance...but they don't come in order, they might go back and forth, there is no time guidelines for each stage. We pet parents know the last stages of our relationship will come...but it doesn't make it any easier. My thoughts go out to you. I know that pain so well, yet I am so glad I had those pet angels in my life. We had great times together. I saved my only doggie's collar after she passed...it was in 2000. I have had my other sweet kitties pass and that has all been so sad also. You have so many of us wishing good thoughts and love and healing your way. ❤

PLEASE don't forget to give yourself grace and time to heal, but also give yourself the credit you deserve. It would have been much easier to sink into self pity and grief, but you refused to do that, and that's HUGE. Give yourself the victory. If you've ever watched Hoarders, you know that grief and loss can be huge triggers for hoarding, but you got up and got moving. Grieving a pet can be devastating. I'm glad you've got your Clay. And remember that it's okay not to be okay, so long as you keep that forward momentum. Obviously you needed a break, but you didn't give up, and that's amazing for you. I'm sure that Cupid is looking down on you with pain free puppy smiles and a corn dog in his mouth! 💕

Mira, we are sisters in grief and I am also on the Decluttering path. I lost my soulmate, Harley a few years ago…I still cry for him (my profile picture), and there was a day when I stood in the middle of my living room and just screamed. Nothing changed but I just had to let the pain out. I have a pup now ..we needed each other…but Harley is still with us. Your doing a great job and I will follow your progress. ❤🐾

You deserve to live in a clean space, and the fact you're doing it yourself is amazingly tremendous! I'm so happy this community is so supportive of your journey, too! What a great bunch of viewers you have. My last house was much like yours. I desperately needed help to get through everything. I didn't get the help, but because I was moving cross country, I only had a small bit of space to take my things. I HAD to declutter. Everything I brought fit in a U-box and was shipped to a storage warehouse. I moved in with my dad, and his house was completely hoarded. 1800 square feet of junk. He passed last September, and I moved out and into my first home. It's 80% not cluttered. My two worst areas are my dining room table and my kitchen. It'll be a year in January, and I still have unpacked boxes in my kitchen. And, all my stuff is still in storage. I'm afraid to bring it home for fear having a hoarded house again! I'll get there. You're inspiring me. ❤

I’m so sorry about Cupid. I lost my senior girl on Friday and can totally relate to how you’re feeling. Grief is the worst but I would prefer it over never having known the love of my girl. Mira, I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved Cupid. I had to have my cat put to sleep this July because she stopped eating. She had cancer. I was so depressed after she passed away that I didn’t want to do any decluttering for a few weeks. I didn’t do much of anything , so I got blood clots in my legs. The blood clots moved into both of my lungs, which caused me to have emergency surgery in August. To make matters worse, I got Covid in October. My house had spiraled out of control. Watching your videos has greatly inspired me to take back control of my home a little bit at a time. I’m so grateful that I found your channel when I did. It was perfect timing for me. I enjoy watching your decluttering journey.

In 2020, I lost a dog 18. A cat 18. Then another dog not even 12 years of age. All that happened within 24 days. I was shattered to say the least. Anyone who has loved and been loved by a fur family friend, knows the absolute anguish we go through when we lose them. And grieving is just one of those things you have to go through. It has stages just like you have stages within your decluttering progress. You and Cupid were very lucky to have one another.😢❤

Cupid was adorable! we lost our doggie of 17 years last year, it is so hard, they truly are fur babies. The loss of a pet is usually felt harder than even some people because they love us so much the loss is felt greater. Take care of yourself, you are doing a great job!

What a huge difference. And major kudos to you for tidying the areas by the front and back door. I bet it wasnt too long ago that you either wouldn’t have noticed the clutter or not cared. It only took a bit of time to tidy up which is the benefit of all your hard work. It’s hard to find the energy when we are emotionally exhausted from our grief but “ dishes math” as dana k white says is a thing. If we can spend 10 or 15 minutes on the dishes and 5 minutes throwing out the trash it will help keep our space in order until we can get back in the groove. I found this out from hard experience during an illness. Take care of yourself and Clay. All the best

If you crush the empty bottles as hard as you must feel now, you can fit way more of them in the bin. Just learned that in Turkey. I cannot imagine loosing my boy, if I even come close to that thought I tear up as hell 😔 I hope the pawspector is also good at giving comfort to you, and I bet he misses his brother just as much.. I am grateful that Cupid hold out until you had the livingroom done, that he let you have this feeling of freedom an success, to make it easier to not give up but to restart after the biggest sadness and darkness has gone. And it is absolutely ok to sweep and rage clean while bawling your eyes out. Thank you for sharing your feelings this honestly! I think that gives some relief to you, you can get support by your viewers, and it might make some of them not feel as alone in this djungle of emotions. You will never forget him, and you were his whole life anyways - but it will not hurt as much in some time. I feel you, as a lot of others do! I imagine how hard it would have been to cope with the loss of your companion if you hadn't already started this. It would have been overwhelming to face the house when you're depleted by grief. And here I am randomly crying over a dog I've never met, but that's what's amazing about our pets, they love so unconditionally that when we lose them we only have beautiful memories of our time together. So very sad for your loss of Cupid. It is obvious he was a very cherished member of your family. Glad to see you post. I’m sad that Cupid is gone, it is hard when we lose our pets. We recently lost our Boy Buster, farm dog, Master of all he surveyed, chicken defender, 100% purebred good boy. Loosing your dog is such sad news. I’m binge watching from the first to the last video. That’s why I’m a bit later with my condolences, but grief doesn’t go away very fast. So I would like to say that I’m so sorry for your loss. But I can tell that your other dog gives you comfort.

Oh my goodness, i feel your pain. My family dog died over a year ago and my dog died six months ago. I still dream about her multiple times a week. The vet said i needed to think about euthanising her, because she was ill and that i would be the one that had to make that choice. Her body wasn't going to give up but she was suffering. And that broke me. I cried for multiple days untill i couldn't breathe anymore. She ended up being going within two weeks of that conversation. And even tho it tore me apart, i'm so happy that she didn't have to suffer for a long time. Hindsight is 20/20 and now im shocked that i didn't see it coming. But i got another dog, which helped a lot with the grief. He was in the shelter for over 4 months and nobody dared to take him, bc he had behaverial issues. Turned out he just needed a calm home, and almost 80% of his bad behavior went away instantly. I'm so happy that i got to take him home, even tho is still miss my previous doggo so much. Sorry for the long story, just know you are not alone in this!❤

First, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dog 13 years ago, and it still hurts. It is better, but... I still can't get another dog. For non dog people, it can be head to understand. But they're your friend, companion, moral support, the ones happy to see you when you've been out and come back. So I'm sorry. Secondly, the work you've done is incredibly. I know people have already said, don't worry about not making the decision when your in the moment with some stuff, I truly believe, the decision to sort it out later when you've got more energy (or I say spoons 🥄) is a decision. I also loved the states 💚 at the end! You're an inspiration to me, I've only been following you sins a beautiful mess did her video. It's also so brave and wonderful that you're sharing your journey. I know the effort is monument 😊 also I'm in North Wales in the UK! So your efforts are felt all over the world, and not just your home 😊

New follower, but what an amazing job! Getting the motivation when you feel overwhelmed is hard. I’m retired now, so I chose one project a week to declutter my kitchen drawers, then my bathroom etc. It really makes you feel accomplished when you’re done. I think the key is to clean up small messes before they become huge messes. Also I remember my Moms words to me which was move it or lose it (meaning move our bodies) or everything gets tougher to do. At 64, I understand. lol

I got tired of hauling the cases of water and the impact they impose on the environment so, I started taking sparkletts water. I highly recommend it. It's about 28.00 per month. I bought the cooler so it decreased my monthly bill. I highly recommend it.

Wowza, what an amazing transformation. I'm so happy for you. Let me say, you have the patience of a saint. I would have thrown that set of stairs against the wall halfway through lol but you just kept at it. I'm so sorry for your loss. We recently lost our Lillypad, also to kidney disease. Its very difficult to lose a dog, they're such a huge part of our life and want nothing more than to make us happy (and they do that so well). I must always remind myself to be grateful for the time I did have with them and that they shared their life with me. I believe they're the closest love we can attain next to God's love. Completely unconditional. After all, God spelled backwards is Cupid 🐩, well actually dog. Stay well.
