i'm glad the Discord list this year got a whole PPT format and most off the blurbs filled out. i hadn't heard of Lonely Sinner and I didn't realize Vylet Pony had another album this year, plus Endlessness has been on my radar since it ranked so highly on P4K's list so I'm glad to come out of this with some recs. Speaking of, I'm surprised Cindy Lee barely made the ranks because that was a top 3 for me and I would've taken the discord as P4K and RYM nerds where it got #1 on their list and top 10 on RYM's.

So glad to see more indie or less talked about stuff on here, I’ll definitely be checking out “lonely sinner” and “monarch of monsters” as it sounds exactly like what I would love, for me personally my favorite album was a tie between “Hit me hard and soft” and “Smile” for sure, although I have to shout out FINNEAS’ new album too because it didn’t get nearly enough love

You've missed a good bit of jazz too! Dance, No one's Watching Ezra Collective is a really good live album, dance music mainly. It is evocative of ballroom era swing in its affect but it is pulling from an Afrocentric pulse. Please review any KOKOROKO record too. they did an EP this year, but Could we Be More, their last LP, is super good

The discord falls so hard for ranking things bc they want to like them or bc they like the idea of them, rather than seriously ranking projects that are the best.
