My Dog's Epic Hike On Mackinac Island!

My dogs are going for a hike on Mackinac Island! Today we are taking a day trip the Mackinac Island, Michigan, which is dog friendly! In fact both the island and Mackinaw city are both very dog friendly places! We took the ferry across, and yes, dogs are allowed on the ferry as well! We hiked all day long and had an amazing trip!

Would you ever bring your bikes on the islane. Omg kira getting the water 😂😂id love to bike on those trails. The girls on the way back with Memphis just taking a Oakley nap style, kira in her dads lap happy as she can be, and Eleanor just taking it all in.

Kira's stance was really funny when she was drinking from the spring water area!🤣 (at about 9:25) The lilacs are so pretty too!🥰 The girls did great on the trip! 💯🥰I also liked the footage of the relaxing walk in the little forested area too! It's a really nice and relaxing trip and the island is truly a nice place as well!🥰

What an amazing day of adventure!! The dogs looked like they were having such a great time and Miss Memphis was a total rock star. I lived in a place, once upon a time, that was sheltered by a tall, fragrant wall of Lilac...although very tall, they were clearly Bushes, & they live everywhere around my high altitude town, perfuming the air in spring. By now they are simply green bushes ~ Mackinac Island has thick trunk Lilac TREES! Never seen before & lacking smell-a-vision, perhaps I'll have the honor to be around such exotica in future. Thanks for pointing them out! Such a beautiful hike to tag along with you two and your happy trio

I do a similar collar backup system for my dogs, too. My girls are half Siberian Husky (Husky/Pit bull mix, actually), so I understand your pain. Unlike what you do with your girls, my system is more of a pull-deterrent since I have Martingale collars on them and occasionally use a twist-on chain link with bolt clips (leash heads) to attach the collar to the harness. But, hey, have a great time in Mackinac. I'm just a little jealous that the two of you and your three pups get to go somewhere. Don't forget to mask up if it gets too bad. I lived in Seattle a few years back when B.C. had a really bad wildfire, and the entire state of Washington had to practically mask up before leaving their homes or work. So I know how you feel about the Canadian smoke. Blame Canada! 😅

Wow, two horse lugging that big cart around in the heat. I feel so sorry for them. Going some place where I have to see horses work in the heat like that would make me really depressed. What a sad place to visit.

These horses are treated better then most people! If they don't treat the horses well, they can't work, so they are very well cared for. And they work in shifts. It takes over 400 horses to operate the island, and that's because they do shifts. Seeing horses work, doesn't make me sad and depressed. This is an amazing place to visit! These horses are good at what they do, and very well cared for.
