Say boss man, I have the same trailer. The down fall I think, is having to drop the deck to unload a bucket. I added a deck on my tilt & dump trailer. Now I can load my attachments on the gooseneck platform. Now, I can leave the deck up & free up space on the tilt deck. I built both for under 2k. Just a thought bc like yourself, I value my time & try to be as efficient as possible. Stay blessed & great job!!

Something about seeing a guy operating a skid steer with his kid in a baby carrier just seems right. Good on you for making the work happen and setting an example for other small business owners that have small kids.

I really think the storage is a great idea, also it will be residual income that you can show to a bank to get a loan against to do something like buy more tractors/construction gear that you're wanting and with that income from the rentals, you'll be able to pay down those loans in next to no time. Keep hustling and grinding! Thanks, Brian

You can’t even trust people you know I’m still waiting on a $238 in overages for a dumpster.

The worst are friends sometimes! "I'll get you Monday" is my least favorite line. I don't owe them the benefit of the doubt if I fulfill my end of the deal as soon as they asked

"Theft of service." Something like that should give you some leverage in small claims court. Plus all your time and suffering and legal and court fees and everything else you can come up with. Then if he ignores the court summons, you get a _default judgement_ if he doesn't show up. Then you file a lien on their property for the judgement in your favor. If he does show up, let the judge hear and see the evidence and make up his own mind. Go through that process at least once to see if it's worth it.

Had someone call me while I was writing this with an emergency hydraulic hose repair. Why not add rental equipment, the man lift is a good choice as are additional skid steer attachments.

Man lifts are a big ticket item that are very desirable. Dump trailers are also a great option. Keep up the great work

With that piece of land that you have, I would do regular self storage instead of buying sea can containers. I'd start by making one or two concrete pad of 30' wide by 100' at least if you can and make 10 units of 10'x10' on one side and 10 units of 10'x20' unit on the other side. Banks love self storage, but not so much containers as they can be moved. I'm sure you know that as you are also a mortgage broker. As you build more regular self storage and rent them, you could get more financing from your bank to build more self storage or get more equipments like dumpsters, containers or machinery. You would have 6 services under the same roof, Self storage rental, containers rental, dumpster rental, demolition, RV parking rental and Equipment rentals. If you buy 20 or 30 containers and pay about $150,000 out of your own pocket, you won't really be able to go to a bank to get any financing to grow bigger after that as they won't really see it as real estates. Anyway great video ! I never miss one.

Invest in the equipment...faster money. The storage is good but not as fast money coming in.

I pretty much always get my money . In 25 plus years of running my own business I have collected on every thing except 1 final payment on a landscaping project. The longest one took about 10 years but they had to clear my lein on the property to finally clear escrow.

Had a broker from Georgia ghost my calls, emails, voice messages and I was even going to follow gim on facebook and LinkedIn. After about 2 months I thought it was a loss, but finally got paid. Today he had the audacity to text me for a dumpster rental! No thanks, made an excuse

I say get more equipment now and do the storage later. Faster cash flow and more advertising seeing your equipment on different jobsites. I do trailer rentals in Houston Texas area and I too am also wanting to do some type of subscription service with big companies. Keep the content coming!

We just empty 3 storage units that our client had rented for 7 years. Storage units seem like a terrific investment. If you can do a few at a time as needed it would be hard to go wrong.

The wealthiest person I worked for is the guy that screwed me the most. Then he shorted me $1800 at the end of everything. I remember him standing there telling me how money doesn’t grow on trees while also yelling at me while being a few minutes late to a meeting because he was running late to a flight to Bermuda.
