Corey said the song is about a kid who bullied him mercilessly in school. It’s his way of getting even in song form. You gotta do this one from the Live in London concert 2002 the video was called Disasterpieces.

i feel you kicked out of two schools first day in public i wore slipknot got made fun up by 2014 slipknot grew and others started wearing it while i was rocking of mice and men and attack attack and attila(and calling me a scene kid) as slipknot opened me up to crabcore i stood there like -.- .... now i went to rockville 2024 and found a group from my high school at the show that i remember making fun of metal for yearssss and they grew into it.

Disasterpieces and most of the songs on the album Iowa are a tough place to start with Slipknot. Iowa is definitely their heaviest and darkest album. I would suggest checking out some songs off of their 3rd album called vol. 3 subliminal verses. It contains some of their most approachable work imho, without losing their edge.

Have you ever been so angry that your head feels/speaks to you like this? Slipknot helps people relaeses all that without going on to do damage to others. Just getting your rage out in the bedroom, car or on a walk with headphones on. Rock on metal heads!

LOVE seeing people react to slipknot for the first time. A lot of people already said stuff from iowa is a tough intro to them and theyre not lying. I think if you sit with it youll come to appreciate it, but theres a lot to be said just about the emotional resonance with their first 2 albums. Theres nothing that really sounds quite like them, and thats because the rage and pain thats tangible on them is really real. So it gets pretty chaotic in a lot of places. That said, like you noticed theres still a really solid groove in a lot of their old work despite how much is going on lol
@mayadog24976 ай бұрын
That was a particularly hard and chaotic song choice...well, theyre all like that, but this song, more so. Give them another try, Im sure youll get plenty of suggestions. Good Job, thanks for your work.

First time i heard this was sophomore year in high school, i was not a metal head at the time, but this album is probably the one that pushed me into being a metalhead. Particularly this song, that opening line is just so disgusting that your forced to either reason with it, and figure out that this song is just an expression of rage, and nothing more, or bail out of the genre all together. When you read all of the lyrics of this song, you get about half way through, and your like, damn these have some real meaning. Slipknot is Goated, and always will be

I actually appreciate your honest reaction. I love slipknot but I can understand why some would find them hard to listen to. Especially their earlier stuff. Some reactions feel so fake. You don’t have to love every song you’re asked to react to. Big ups for staying true to you my g.

This is one of the heaviest most chaotic albums ever recorded. I have been into Metal since Late 70s and even I had to adjust my ears to this at first now I love this album but only at certain times. Getting into metal is a bit of a process. I get irritated when people request this stuff to someone not in that genre it is like they really don't want you to like it. Actually if you ever see this do not react to the song Daddy by Korn anytime soon if ever. I can't even listen to that. People will request it though.

with slipknot follow the rhythm of the guitars as much as the drums and bass. if you are going to follow one pick Paul/bass or the down beat of the drums.
