One of Aardman's most underrated films. Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, and Ian McKellen are great in their roles, The Toad's plan is creative, and I love the British humor.

If you loved this, you'll adore Aardman's other films. They're the masters of stop motion, quick gags, and British Humor. The reason this was cgi, was because it was easier to work with all that water this way. Shame it bombed and ended their partnership with DreamWorks, though.

Aardman normally does claymation - Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep, etc. - but when it came to this movie, they realized just how much of it was dependent on water, which is ridiculously hard to do in stopmotion. So they did it cgi...but did it looking as *if* it was stop motion.
@TheMarioandSonicfanАй бұрын
A known fact about Ardman they actually ended up burning down their warehouse they were using it for I think it was the movie of Wallace and Gromit I can't remember but because of that they were not able to do anything for a while because making the clay figures takes a long time but now they use CGI fire because using real fire is too risky especially with what happened the last time they used real fire.

15:13 That song isn't by Bob Marley, a common mistake. It's by Bobby McFarrin (1988, which was 7 years after Marley's passing). Bob Marley never sang this song, people often mistake it because of the reggae vibe. The Music video also features Robin Williams and Bill Irwin being silly.

James Bond reactions would honestly be great! In terms of where to start, the obvious answer would be at the beginning with the very first Bond film Dr No; on the other hand, the early films can be considered quite slow by modern standards, so starting with Daniel Craig's first film Casino Royale could be a good alternative if you'd pretty to start with a more recent one. It's up to you of course, either way we'll (or at least I will) be here for it.

I overlooked this movie so hard when it came out, and tbh so did the rest of the world 😅 My pet theory is that a) We'd all had our fill with Wallace and Gromit, which was amazing amd kind of hit the spot for British animated humour, and b) a rat getting flushed down the loo is a hard sell.

1. I only saw Skyfall and No Time To Die as well as a lil bit of Casino Royal but that’s bout it. 2. This film as well as Happy Feet introduced me to Hugh Jackman before the X-Men movies ever did. This film introduced me to Kate Winslet before there was Rose Dawson, to Ian McKellen before there was Gandalf and Magneto, to Andy Serkis before there was Gollum, to Jean Reno before there was Leon The Professional, and to Bill Nighy before there was Davy Jones and that’s saying something cuz this came around the same year that Dead Man’s Chest came around. 3. I thought rats would be herbivores myself but I’m pretty sure they also eat maggots as well. They apparently eat anything including humans and other rats. 4. Penguins Of Madagascar started out as a show on Nickelodeon but it became a movie in 2014. 5. If the Toad was killed, he would not have told the story of how he became an outcast. 6. The reason Hugh Jackman has such a good “British” accent is cuz he’s Australian. It’s always a wonder how the British and the Australians had the exact same damn accents. 7. What did Sid and Le Frog call “you?” Not you but Roddy and Rita. Sid called Roddy an old cream cracker. Le Frog called Rita a chocolate croissant. It’s a French pastry. Only reason he replaced the R with a W is cuz that’s what the French do. 8. You said you liked the animators of that film. That would be Aardman. He also made Chicken Run, Wallace And Gromit, and a few other films. 9. I wouldn’t say that the Toad did nothing. Technically, he plugged the master cable back in.

Mouse & other characters look like they're from Chicken Run (2000) (excellent movie). Apparently there is a recent sequel (2023). (Also a DreamWorks product). James Bond: Do them all in order is the only right answer. Dr. No is first. (The Roger Moore era (1973-1975) is the most fun Bond (a very campy Bond). JAWS is the most loveable assassin ever).

If you liked this movie, you'll LOVE Chicken Run - but all of Aardman's work, from their original Wallace and Grommet shorts to the Pirates are just fun movies to watch. If you're thinking of jumping into James Bond, the best place to start is the start: Dr. No., the original James Bond movie.
