I don't use scrapbook type supplies either, not because of my budget but because of my minimalist values. This is why I love your channel, you do al lot with very little. I do use the nnapkin technique and water-colored pencils as well as the same water color brand you use. Thank you for your vids. They are a blessing.

Good post! Thanks for drilling down on your favorites. It’s sure easy to get carried away with supplies. Ha!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I actually already own and use all of your favorites. I do need to get more comfortable with watercolor and am working on that this year. Thank you for sharing your list.

Thanks for the suggestions and keeping them simple and affordable. Not everyone can afford the kits, stickers n stamps, but persistance and creativity will find a way! Markers n pens seem to dry up super fast here in Florida. I've been using my Tambi for calligraphy. Love your style and so happy I found your channel!!!

Thank you! You are so sweet and delightful. Just listening to your voice is a joy. You are so uplifting. I love this video. It's was very helpful and I have discovered that I have most of these things. Your journaling is so pretty and original. I love the "freedom" in just you taking God's Word in and just letting your creativity go from there. I often find myself smiling by the end of a video you made. I just discovered your painted bibles and now I am saving up for one! Wow! They are beautiful! What a sweet spirit you have. I am so grateful. God bless you!

Fun supply list! My daughter watches you and shared the link. About the clear gesso, you might try matte medium instead. It is really just clear acrylic paint - no grit added. Matte would be my choice since gloss would mean the next thing you add might bead up. There is a problem with acrylic paint on opposite pages, but even a light dusting of baby powder/corn starch should take care of that. Some use a tiny bit of wax to prevent sticking. I appreciate your generosity.

Wow! Very informative video! Thank you so much for taking the time. Have you ever thought of teaching classes/ training when doing your bible journaling? Can you do a video on how to throw a ladies get together. I’ve had it on my heart to invite some ladies over and do an illustrated faith get together. Any thoughts?

You have a beautiful style of journaling! I love both styles, but I especially LOVE your watercolour flowers, partly coz' they're just so cute, and also coz the water colour doesn't completely cover the words! You're such an inspiration!

Hi are you not selling your bibles anymore? I don’t see any on Etsy in your shop.
@KennethNicholson19725 жыл бұрын
The fact that you do not use stamps or washi tape is the exact reason I love your videos Sister. I love your originality. It would not be your own art if you used premade stamps. I don't use the either, firstly they are over priced for what they are, and secondly I feel it is cheating to use others work as my own. More importantly for me however is that by focusing on how best I can create something to reflect what God's word means to me, is a great way to meditate and digest God's word. I only own cheap bibles with no free space, so I do my work on paper or card and keep it in a binder. I love your creativity, and your smiley voice. It picks me up when I'm down, and it's relaxing to watch. Don't go changing and bring in those stamps, unless of course you make your own. Love in Christ, Ken. PS My Daughter is pregnant with my first grandchild, should find out gender on scan next week. woop woop, I'm gonna be a grandpop!!!!!!

Thanks. I use a lot of those items too plus a few more. I agree those white pens are the best! I hate to be critical, but you really need to work on the random giggling you do in your videos. I'm sure you're probably nervous. Just something to work on to improve your videos. Love your work!!

I understand the purpose of a journaling Bible. It's used to make notes beside specific text within the Bible. And I understand the need for highlighting specific passages within the bible. I don't understand why you are turning the bible into a coloring book. Not sure that is what it was intended for.

If u decide to buy some clear gesso b careful bcuz a lot of the brands tend to b gritty and it feels like u have sand stuck to ur page when it dries. I use the Tri-art brand and I bought it from Amazon. It's not gritty at all.

I watch the frugal crafter Lindsey here on youtube and she knows A LOT about watercolors, she's been painting since she was a little girl, anyway she has said that if u leave water in ur watercolors they can start to mold. Idk how to tell if they r molding. Just thought I would mention it
