HaPpY 1st Mother's Day xox I would bender recommend modpodge especially some places depending on humidity it will cause your pages to stick together. I'm a huge fan of clear gesso. I have been trying these last few pages to not prep and it's so unforgiving. With gesso if I make a mistake often I can wipe it off with a baby wipe.

I love this shades of blue you used !!! I did a test page in the back of my journaling Bible when I first started out doing Bible journaling. What’s funny is I paint mostly with watercolors with the exception of white. I often use white acrylic mixed in and it actually works. But you’ve inspired me to give acrylic paints a try again and there’s a Walmart real close to my house too 🤣🤣🙌🏼❤️🎨🎨🎨

Thank you so much for this video 💐 It’s so helpful. I’m new to Bible Journalling and this was such an educative video. I’m just surprised cause I always thought that Gesso wouldn’t allow for ghosting and now I’m wondering what to do. I’m planning on a margin Bible and not the plain pages Bible, so adding acrylic won’t be ideal for a slim place.

Esther Chucha yeah I find ghosting is pretty unpreventable, but once I actually put something on the backside of the page I never notice it 😊

Can you use a hairdryer? Heat guns are expensive.

pam bonbrake totally! The air pressure is much higher on a hairdryer, so just be sure to hold the page to keep it from flipping :)

Steph Loves ive heard great things about both of those Bibles! I also personally love The Jesus Bible as a normal study Bible. If your looking for a journaling Bible, I love the ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible. Pre-Illustrated Bibles like The Inspire Bible or My Creative Bible are great options as well 😊
