This was such a great video for learning this great technique - thank you! You may talk about this on another video, but when going over the words in your bible with the paints or other items does it cover the scripture so that you cannot read it any longer? I hope this makes sense - I'm just starting to lean how to journal while reading and studying God's word. Its important for me to be able to still read the scriptures, but I LOVE bring the artwork over into the lettering. Also, you use a drying of some sort - what is it and when the pages get wet does that not wrinkle the pages? Lastly, what about bleeding through? Thank you for your time answering my silly, but so important questions to me! Your work is beautiful - I love how simple that you keep it! Blessings!

Pam Allen Hi, I do try to answer these questions in most all my videos, because you are not the only one to ask :). But yes, about 95% of the time I can still read the scripture through the watercolors, but occasionally, with darker colors it is much harder to read. (But I made that personal decision not to worry about that since I use other Bibles to read/study from.). I also have never had any bleed through issues with my kuretake watercolors, and only use other supplies that don’t bleed-through as well (I have a post on the supplies I use at scribblinggrace.com/supplies). The page can crinkle, but I find it flattens back out after a couple weeks. And lastly, I believe I have a link to the heat gun in the supplies post I mentioned above, but it is just a creamy heat gun, which dries the page very quickly (a hair drier works as well though). Hope I’m not missing anything! So glad you liked the video! ❤️

I don't ever prep the page with the supplies I use regularly and don't have bleed-through myself, but yeah you can always prep with clear gesso!

Anyone please answer. Can you read your bible through the watercolor paint? Especially the top pink red flower center. It does look like you can read through the green leaves. Not so sure on the purple. Turned out beautifully though.

Hi, I can still read it :). But I also *personally* don’t mind if I can’t read every word in this Bible because I have other Bibles I read and study from, this one is just for art worship 😊

Hey. Does the color bleed to the next page when you use acrylic or watercolor? I want to do this. I’m just. Scared I guess. Trying to learn the proper technique

Tianna C nope I haven’t had any bleed though with the supplies I use (there’s links in the blog post in the description)! You can see some ghosting or shadow, but no bleed-through 😊

It’s great! But please don’t color the scriptures it’s disrespectful to the Word of God, don’t use the Bible as coloring book or art work if ur going to cover the scriptures.
