At the New England aquarium, their electric eel enclosure isn't even as big as yours will be, and they have it fully stocked with neon tetras and all kinds of smaller fish and shrimp. It's really pretty! You could absolutely do some cool stuff with it.

It's the size of the animals that's letting them survive with the electric eel. Small animals have less surface and are less affected by the electric current.

For the sixteen foot tank you could try geophagus tapajos since they are a but smaller only getting to about six inches long but they’re still stunning they’re also a bit more peaceful imo

Hi joey, I think that would have been inclined to have put the parrot in with the flowerhorn as it would have made sense to be able to keep an eye on them easier, and too see if he was interested as I believe parrots are hybrids so! Just a thought, but then it could be that some fish aren't fussy. 👍💯

my vote is for breeding the Parrot and FH, by removing the pair and splitting them. I just want to see the offspring between FH and Parrot(F)! although after the breeding, having a single parrot wouldn't be as neat as 2 (or more) so maybe keep the male or plan to get more / offer her up too after you get the offspring!

why are you so surprised ? they are tiny and not realy something he would eat , they feed on anlge and foodwast that the eel also dont eat ... i had shrimps with biggerfish wiht out any problems before , those little shrimp are more hardy than you think .
